It's January/February. Gold medal in the Special Olympics.

2013-02-03 09:16:56 AM
So, would we cal it a zom-com?

2013-02-03 10:01:23 AM
It has Rob Cordorry in it.

I'm satisfied.

2013-02-03 10:10:08 AM
I was sick of that movie by the end of the trailer...

2013-02-03 10:46:56 AM
I thought it was a good zombedy.

2013-02-03 11:01:28 AM
The Corddry video in the link is hysterical. I may need to see this just for him

Was this site created in 1999 on Freeyellow?

2013-02-03 11:15:14 AM
I saw it at a pre-screening.  It is a light cheesy romantic comedy, but it is sweet and Rob Corrdry is really funny in the parts he is in.

A romzomcom.

It did? This is the first time I've heard of it.

/went and saw Mama last night

Finally saw silver linings play book. Damn good movie.

I'll still see the zomromdramcom but that theatre was packed last night

2013-02-03 11:34:56 AM
I was told it was ok, and should wait for it on Netflix.

2013-02-03 11:35:19 AM
Ill probably go see Bullet to the Head on cheap movie night on Tuesday. Ill pay 5 dollars to watch Sylvester Stallone shoot people in the face and kill a guy in an axe fight.

2013-02-03 11:47:24 AM
The trailer is funny, but I won't see it.  It reeks of Twilight-type "Inexplicably handsome undead monster falls for girl".  All it needs is sparkles on the zombie.

romcom nom nom nom

Shuan of the Dead labeled itself (the first?) Rom-Zom-Com and based on the commercials for this one it has nothing to worry about being dethroned.

You can do anything at zomrocom. Welcome.

I didn't realize that was the weird kid from About a Boy.

If it had failed it would have been a romzomcombomb.

I like the premise of the movie at least.  There are way too many formulaic rom-coms and zombie movies, so combining the two genres actually seems pretty creative (by Hollywood's low standards, anyway).

Malkovich Malkovich?

2013-02-03 12:34:54 PM
Meanwhile, I'll be going to see Django Unchained for the third time.

Watched Gangster Squad yesterday and was thoroughly entertained. I didn't know what it was about going in (other than a gangster movie not set in the present, with a few decent actors attached to it). I laughed at quite a few parts that were genuinely funny.

I read about it today and apparently everyone thinks it's a terrible movie. It kept me entertained, so it's a good movie in my books.

Cinema's highest point was when John Malkovich got beaned with that beer can. It was downhill from there.

Thanks. That was an enjoyable little read.

Thought the movie was pretty much what I expected to be.  Some cute harmless fun and some laughs here and there.  Doesn't take itself seriously at all so I can't even begin to compare it to Twilight like some people.  I enjoyed it for what it was.

2013-02-03 01:50:32 PM
Saw it last night and I really enjoyed it. It's basically Romeo and Juliet with zombies. I don't know if that would sell it to people, but it was really well done for what it was. Some good laughs and a good enough story. I'd recommend it for sure.

2013-02-03 01:53:13 PM
Gee, I saw this back in the 90's when it was called My Boyfriend's Back.

Nothing beats this classic Romance/Zombie movie.

Since we are all talking about what we watched, saw Life of Pi yesterday...god damn Ang Lee knows how to film a beautiful movie...

I just saw it and I would agree with this. The humor is sparse and pretty dry and it's fairly slow paced. It's not a bad movie but it's not worth $8 unless you're just desperate to get out of the house.

So they turned a story about a zombie falling in love with another zombie into one where a zombie falls in love with a living person. Figures.

So that's that touching romantic comedy about necrophilia?

It's better than Twilight.

Saw it yesterday.  That's pretty much the entire movie in a nutshell.  A bunch of people walking around shooting each other in the head and some occasional talking.  Simple but fun action flick.  I enjoyed it.
