They have too many intangibles.  You can't say exactly why, but you just know this team is qualified to win the Superb Owl.

I can't say exactly why, davidphogan, but I bet you are wrong wrong wrong.

I hate this kind of greeing, but, I will stand by my earlier prognostitcation, based on karma. Ravens by 14.

I'm sorry.

This winning and losing nonsense has gotten out of hand. Can't we for once have a Super Bowl without keeping score? Both teams are already winners, and there's no point to shaming any of these nice young men by calling them losers.

I'm just hoping for a good game with no injuries.

However, I can't root for a Harbaugh that coaches a murderer. I can hardly wait until next year when I won't feel bad about pulling for the Ravens. I like everything about that team, but I just can't get past the that one thing.

Go Niners!

I feel the same.  Does he thank God that he got away with it, or does he feel guilt because o fwhat happened?  Wonder if he admitted in confession or something similar.  Repent Mr. Killer. Break a leg. MAybe he will be buried in that white suit that didn't exist.

I'm so torn on this game.  On the one hand, I hate the Ratbirds and am tired of them.  And I kinda like the Niners.  But my best friend's having a hell of a time lately, and she really can't justify any other team join her Steelers in the six-ring category.  So I'm pulling for the Ratbirds even if I don't want to.

The Ravens will win.  See my post in the other thread.

Without getting into any specifics about your friend, this is a pretty lame point.

It is going to be tough going against Seattle and their Legion of Boom.

Extremely long story short: The last six weeks have been hell. If she wants the Ratbirds to win, then so do I, just to make her happy for a few hours.

GO NINERS!!!

I just hope the whole PR meltdown they've had all week won't prove to be a distraction, and that after they win, they seriously consider trading the ones who caused the distraction. Beyond the homophobia thing, which I completely condemn, these idiots should have known not to do something like this and cause a distraction. Morons.

GO NINERS!!!!

Let's do this, Niners!

As a Youngstowner and a (former) Browns fan: GO NINERS!!!1!!11

After seeing what the Niners did to Aaron Rodgers, who I feel confident in stating is 10x the QB that Flacco is, I don't see how the Ravens win. Yes, the Baltimore OL is better, by far, than the Packers' line is, but the Packer WRs are the best crew in the NFL and they were rendered (more or less) meaningless. With defending the Niners, it's pick your poison...defense the run, and Kaepernick will pick you apart, and if your safeties stay back, here comes the read option and Kaepernick's speed once he reaches the second level. The only way the Ravens stay close is if the Niner pass rush is non-existent AND Flacco goes deep a LOT, with success. I don't see the Ravens' defense being able to stop the Niner offense no matter what, due to Kaepernick's ability to run and pass with equal dexterity.

I agree on all counts (except I'm in SoCal).  The Ravens are going to shut the Niners down something fierce.  The Niners q-back is in for a very rough 3 hours today.

I can respect that.  I'm standing by the "wanting to be the only team with 6 rings, and therefore rooting for a divisional rival, is silly" point, but at the same time, I'm a huge, homertastic Niners fan, so I'm not exactly unbiased.

/don't tell Chris Culliver I'm homertastic

Lifetime 9ers fan.  Grew up in the shadow of the 'Stick.  When I was growing up, a 9ers Superbowl win was almost a given, at least after the Jim Plunkett/Steve DeBerg years.  Now I'm nervous as hell.  I have a ton of Steeler fan friends that are just outright begging the Ravens to win.  Now, in order to get a Steelers fan to root for the Ravens, that's something.
