That worked so well the last time, since the one end zone went into THE FARKING WALL!!!

They did at one point have football there without risking death by brick wall collision from what I've read.  Do ya think they can figure out how they did it back then?

Even the way the field fit back then wasn't up to par for today's NFL standards.  When you add the fact that the Cubs have added seats since Wrigley became baseball-only, it only makes the problem worse.

Being able to host more events is a huge piece of the Wrigley renovation pitch.  I wonder if they're going to make part of the bleachers into retractable high school gym bleachers or something.

With all the talk about repouring concrete and adding new batting cages I foresee there being plenty of opportunities to add the 5-6 feet needed to fit a football field safely. Hell, they would just need to "Bud Light Bleacherize" left field and they could probably do it.  That would actually match the old Bears configuration, too.

On a side note, the 2014 Lafayette Lehigh game will be held at Yankee stadium!

FTA : Given that scheduling an October game could threaten a playoff schedule, the 2014 games to watch are against Iowa on Nov. 8 and Illinois on Nov. 29.

Looks like the writer of this article forgot they were talking about the Cubs.

Because universities with big league football teams care so very much for student athlete safety, right?
