It's a good idea.  Basic internet safety and privacy precautions should be required for ALL young people, but especially for college athletes who are in the public eye to some degree.  Let's be honest, it was only a matter of time before something like the Te'o thing happened, since most NCAA teams aren't doing much if anything to educate players on this stuff.  This kind of preventative education seems like a great way to protect players (and the school's image, possibly) in the information age.

I assume this is AD speak for they attempted to meet her and screw her.  Which is perfectly legit.  It's only dumb if you're sending her gifts off her Amazon list without meeting her, telling the media lies about her, etc.

Wow, it is almost as if a university is attempting to educate young people. Surely the sullied the reputation of the football team.
