I would of thought as a Liverpool supporter you would have a coping mechanism for disappointment by now

I passed out 6 hours ago, but can't get back to sleep. Guess I'll watch for the early game for the first time in months. I had it as 2-1 for QPR, but just changed it to 1-1 after finding out they haven't scored at home in over 5 hours and their start scorer is out. That probably means that they'll win by 3.

FFPL report to follow for the main batch of games. Those of a nervous disposition might want to skip this one.

NorfolkingChance - can you take on triage duties if necessary?

Hehe.  By the way, is anyone else having problems with mobile fark?  I can't load anything, but the normal page loads just fine.

There is Bale's goal from the midweek match against Norwich. Good individual effort with a run starting at midfield. He also stays on his feet after being fouled and has a quality finish.

I gave up the Prediction game a few weeks ago after it turned out that despite following soccer my entire life, I know bugger all about it.

Taarabt having a good game so far, shame he's missed some golden chances.

Turns out its a combination of my wifi and mobile Fark.

Wifi + mobile Fark = nothing
Wifi + full site = success

Wow, amazing PK save.

Stimied in a Rut: Wow, amazing PK save.

Is it just me, or is the number of missed/saved penalties in the last couple of seasons way up?

2013-02-02 08:59:31 AM
Wow, what a save. Buun makes a mistake to give the pen, then immediately makes up for it.

2013-02-02 08:59:59 AM
Couple great saves by keepers on both sides...PK save most excellent.

2013-02-02 09:26:31 AM
If this game ends drawn, it'll be a shame for QPR, because they've looked deserving of a win here.

I like this prediction league for one reason, and one reason only: it gives me a rooting interest in an early game between two teams in 14th and 20th place. Last year I would have grabbed more sleep.

2013-02-02 09:28:16 AM
Wow. Keepers are the story of this game. So many great saves.

This, plus how many headers can one team miss?

Who is watching what in the next slate of matches? My plan is to check out Everton/Villa unless it is a complete snoozer.

2013-02-02 09:32:12 AM
I'm heading to the grocery store so I can make breakfast before the next set of matches.  It's snowing now and we got a couple of inches last night so it should be fun.

And there we might have a summary of his entire career encapsulated when we look back in ten years.

FFPL Report - Round 21

farm9.staticflickr.com

Your FFPL report for Round 23.

I gave Obamartins a sniff of the top spot. About 20 hours. Didn't help that I missed predicting the top half of the midweek slate, but I'll lose out on that for three points at Villa.

TKU dancing around at the bottom. Making it back to 0 a realistic mid-term objective.

The green shoots of recovery are there in the Banker Bonus club, a good number of 5s, and 689908 and DesertMoloch on 10s. Kcostell still President on 20 - and he has been using that to rack up the points this last month or so.

DesertMoloch the only Page changer, crawling onto Page 1. Hoick-outs have occurred again on Page 2. A LOT of Arsenal supporters on Page 2.

Top scorers of the week were StRalphtheLiar and DesertGeek who both bagged 70, but Chattanooga_FC posted a robust 85. At the other end of the speculum we have a large group who would be quite happy not to hear about this week again.

Getting -40 would often have you leading the collapse, but TottenhamLukewarmSpur and Mitchcumstein1 nestle behind Tom_the_servo_bit_me on -45. However, this week we're privileged to see a performance that can only be described as special. HaywoodJablonski posted a mighty -90. Nine out of ten predictions wrong - including the banker, natch - and only failing to achieve a theoretical minima by application of the banker [successfully used] and seeing a home win for MUFC. You can't coach that level of ability, it's just natural and instinctive.

Most rapid climbers of the week were 689908, shifting up 3 and DesertMoloch who rose 4. On the slide ADubs86 falls 4.

6 Nations Rugby starts this week. Wales losing at home to Ireland, Scotland will lose the Calcutta Cup to England at Twickenham whilst France take on Chelsea.

Hello everyone!
i'm watching lethargic Chelsea FC!

Great first half by nufc. Goufrann, sissoko and cisse look like they've been playing together for years already. Wouldn't be surprised if we blow this though cuz pardeaux's tactics have been terrible lately.
