I was off by a day. I'd said this story would be swept under the rug on Friday.

Lie about Ray-Ray? That's a stabbin'.

This just means in a few years Fark will say "hey remember when Ray Lewis took deer antler spray" despite all facts and evidence to the contrary.

So is there any chance a randy buck runs out on the field and gores Lewis to death?

Because that would be the coolest Super Bowl ever.

Is this a repeat from 2000?

After reading that article, I don't care about deer antler spray anymore. I looked up what the guy meant by "chips." This is from his web site:

"Athletic Performance Chips (APC)™ are multi-layered holographic images that are adhesively bonded with our patent pending VibraTech™, an exclusive technology that binds sound vibrations into the discs for the purpose of influencing the human vitality field."

People actually bought into this?! WTF!?

I'm confused. What are "chips"?  Potato?  Or something else to ingest with banned substances that isn't antler spray?

guess I should have done a refresh first...  Thanks Wino

Is it wrong of me to want someone to roll up on his knee on the first play from scrimmage and take him out? Or even better, he tears his achilles doing that stupid dane

No and you aren't the only one. Tough choice in this SB, the insufferable forty whiners fans or a killer who got off on a technicality.

Let's just keep pretending like he naturally came back from a torn tricep in less than half the minimum time it takes someone half his age to.

He cheated, no question. Whether or not it was 'deer antler spray' and whether or not he 'put it in his mouth' are red herrings.

He knew the nfl doesn't test for growth hormone and took the opportunity. I'm sure many, many others are currently doing so

Wrong.  And here's his apology to Ray.

Of course he can apologize now. He accomplished his mission of getting product recognition up and increasing his sales. If the Ravens hadn't made the Super Bowl, then he would have accused some other high profile player who made the Super Bowl, but was injured this year, of using the Deer Antler Extract.

As a Ravens' fan, I do have to think that something unusual went on with his recovery. But I also have to look across the NFL to Adrian Peterson and accept that the same thing is happening league-wide so I don't know how upset to feel about it. Were I a Niners fan, I might be a little more pissy.

"I never saw Ray put it in his mouth,"  is not recanting the underlying facts of the story

You're right, it's much easier to pretend you know anything about triceps tears or their recovery time tables, and then make an uneducated guess that he cheated.

/he probably cheated...you don't know he did, stop acting like you do based on your worthless uninformed opinions about his injury and how long it takes to recover from the injury you don't know shiat about

He still did it, and I don't have to have any evidence for it.

If I have to be subjected to Rapelisberger comments without basis Murderin' Ray and his sycophantic champions get no mercy from me.

All evidence points to Roethlisberger having sex with the girl in a bathroom.  There isn't enough evidence to prove rape, but it's a possibility.
On the other hand, all evidence from the Atlanta murders point to Ray not even being involved in the fight directly except to break up the two fighting parties.

It seems like you have an equivalency problem.

FTFY

What great luck for Ray. Two times in his life, after a short period of time, stories that could have a negative impact on him have gotten changed. It's almost as if there was something going on in the background.

But I am sure that it couldn't be the football team, based in one of the most crime-ridden cities on earth, that is working behind the scenes to protect their interests. Not like they would choose football over what's right. That would be as bad as working to get a convicted drug dealer to serve his "sentence" in the offseason so as not to affect the roster. Or paying a woman who had bleach poured on her to be quiet. It would just be WRONG.

Which is exactly why no NFL players have ever been convicted of anything ever.

One could have deduced that MItch Ross never saw Ray Lewis use the stuff. Lewis requested it over the phone and Ross sent it to him. There was no real need to deny it and clarifying that one element of the story doesn't exonerate Ray Lewis.

You mean how a 37 year old somehow recovered in 10 weeks, when that injury usually requires 6 months? Yeah, I am sure he is clean as a whistle.

Serious question: Is Lewis HEALED or is he CLEARED TO PLAY? Justin Smith is playing with a 50% torn triceps, how much of a percentage of Lewis' triceps was reattached in the surgery? He has the big bulky brace on. Did he decide that he could risk re-injuring it since he is done at the end of the year?

I am looking back through what I can find and I am not finding anything saying one way o the other on healed versus cleared to play. Anyone have a link that says it either way?
