Uh no, that's likely not what he's saying at all.

What I object to is his claim that setting the age limit to 18 is "arbitrary" and "contrived". It is neither. You don't understand what arbitrary means if you think that.

Why not? The word seems pretty appropriate. It's not like there is some clear, objective, delineation to draw. We did just kind of have to pick some year and there isn't a timer that goes off for everyone on their 18th birthday which changes them clearly from a child to an adult. Our bodies and brains are still developing well into our 20's.

Why not 19? 20? 25? Or 16 or 17 for that matter? I'm Jewish and traditionally you're an adult at 13 according to my people. So he's not wrong to say that 18 is arbitrary. Sometimes in life there isn't a clear answer and you need to make arbitrary decisions because you can't just make NO decision.

What about Hound Dog? I would also like to say that I just added the movie to my Netflix. I really do not think there should be an age limit for nudity in films. There are quite a few films that have been released where the actors have been nude and under the age of 18. I do not find any of them to be offensive or make me feel perverted. Beauty is beauty regardless of the age, but then I can admire their beauty without automatically desiring to insert my penis into them.
