What smog?  I thought it was happy industrial blanket of prosperity for the people.

I also invite ever tea-tard whining about the EPA to go have a nice visit and breathe deeply the sweet smell of success.

Oh but see, this is exactly why the EPA is pointless!  We can't control what China and India do, so why should we even bother over here?

They'd probably tell you that "the market" will take care of it, and point out how many jobs the Perri-Air guy just created.

Generation_D: "I also invite ever tea-tard whining about the EPA to go have a nice visit and breathe deeply the sweet smell of success."

Please. They'll just insist the problem is that you didn't sell off rights to the atmosphere, creating a competitive economy of self-interested private parties that will be incentivized to keep the air as clean as possible, so they can maximize sales of consumer breathing rights.

Corporatist Libertarianism can't *fail* - it can only *be failed*.

Our town last summer had air pretty bad.  Our air quality index broke the machines because of a freak lightening storm + drought meant our index was at 900.  Air was so bad you could see the smoke in the stores.

Why would anyone ever NOT want smog in massive metropolitan cities? It invariably sends loads people to visit and eventually die at hospitals due to complications from air borne toxins. Besides, aren't Americans required to loathe and despise the lives of all those Chinese who make all the trash we love to buy?

That little dot? Yeah, that's the sun. So it's 9am. And then I went out for a walk and the haze was visible at 35ft
i.imgur.com I was trying to get the pictrue from one end of the bus to the other, but it started rolling, so I had to get out of the way, but yeah about 35feet from one end of the bus to the other and the haze was pretty visible.

A friend of mine told me that the people there don't think anything of picking their nose or plugging a nostril and blowing snot on the street mid-conversation. He is a US citizen who was visiting China. He figured it was just a part of life due to the horrible air quality. Have you seen any of this? Just curious..

I don't live in Beijing, I live in the US, but yes, all the goddam time. In a meeting, time to get knuckle deep in that farker, oh, it's slipping away, I got shift my footing and cough loudly. It's truly bizarre. It's something they just don't notice, I guess.
