The French have been in Africa for a long time, and what they do there makes American involvement in Central and South America look like a Peace Corps humanitarian aid mission.

Is that the Indiana Jones theme?

i wish theyd "reboot" dune and make it a 3 part trilogy a la LOTR.

Lynch's version was almost good, just a bit overly ambitious for the effects of the early 80s. and the actress who played jessica sucked. but aside from that it had lots of potential.

the atreides were cool, the harkonnens cool, the fremen were cool, the saurdakar were cool, the worms were cool as hell...

One of my favorite episodes...top 10 at least.

As to the darude video reference, I was captivated by two things:

1) The brunettes bouncing busom
2) The bald guy's literally limp wristed running technique.

It was turned into a Sci-Fi channel miniseries. Six hours long in total, really good, too.

As Yomuxu stated, they did.  It was 6 parts and encompassed Dune, Dune Messiah, and Children of Dune.  Cast is pretty solid, too.

Says the wanker whose countrymen stole their music from Muddy Waters, Howling Wolf, et al.
In other words, STFU.

Yes because all British music is blues based?

Wow...your trolling powers are weak American....incoherent argument combined with severe lack of music knowledge...

Hey why don't you go and listen to some 'rock' because last time I was in America, there IS no other music.

That comment says to me that you have never been to America.  And trust me I would love to live in that America.  Our radio and mainstream music is so void of rock you would wonder if it is dead.

I actually thought he was doing an Eddie Izzard bit.  Building the drama:  DUN DUN DUN.  Oh, my, er..what?  DUN DUN.  (James Mason voice)

But now I want to know who the actress running with the suitcase is.

Purely.... scientific reasons.

Er.
