Did she make it in time?

"No, no she didn't," Freeman said. "She got pulled over four times, so, no."

I know a lawyer who had a client whose marijuana saved her from a speeding ticket. She had a pile of traffic tickets and petty offenses in several jurisdictions plus pot. The possession charge bumped her from village court into real court. Real courts don't have time for speeding tickets. She plea bargained the whole package to a minor misdemeanor and all the traffic violations went away. If she had been in traffic court on the remaining charges she would have lost her license.

In this case, if her lawyer consolidates all the cases and negotiates a single plea she will be better off than facing four speeding tickets in four separate courts.

I'm not sure they can consolidate all of these tickets as they were in different jurisdictions, so different court systems... but then again I am not a lawyer, I only play one on the intertubes (and TV).

As I understand the article they were in different counties of one state. Where I live the defendant can consent to consolidating cases or insist that they be tried separately. That chemist who faked thousands of test results is currently insisting on separate trials in each county where she committed an offense. Prosecutors want to have one giant trial, but they need her consent.

Someone with that much disregard for others safety that she feels it is ok after being repeatedly stopped yo continue this behavior should never be allowed to drive again. She obviously makes piss poor decisions. A grandmother of a middle schooled at 49? That means she became a grandmother inherent early thirties. She has sociopath stink all over her.

Do you think that, after the second ticket, the highway patrol called ahead to other cops up ahead to be on the look-out for this lady? I drive on the interstate very often, and I've never seen 4 cops patrolling in such a distance (other than a high-density speed trap). I can't imagine that there just happened to be 4 cops doing routine speeding patrols on this stretch of the interstate... I suspect that they radioed in for "downstream" patrols to catch her again.

So this was all in 2 1/2 hours but what does it usually take to get a traffic arrest? My aunt got warned and a small fine for forgetting insurance for a few months so that's not enough.

Sometime between the ages of 36 and 38, since middle school students are usually 11 to 13 years old. Let's take the average and say she was 37.

It's possible that she and her daughter were both 18.5 when they reproduced... but in any event they were both pretty damn young.

According to TFA they were looking for her after the second stop. But more to your point, it's a 300 mile stretch of highway from SD to WI and I've seen multiple troopers on just the 50 or so miles that I have occasion to drive. So yeah, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see 4 cops between Pipestone and LaCrosse.

Made shortly after Chrysler bought Lamborghini? Not only possible, but probable.

/have owned 2 Chryslers, both entirely capable of doing speeds over 100. One was a Concorde.
//Chrysler LeBaron coupe 5-speed turbo is still the best car I've ever owned, so deceptively fast I got tagged doing 88 in a 60 in a construction zone because I'd just pulled a sixteen hour shift and was so tired I didn't realize my speed. Apologized to the officer and paid the ticket, which he kindly knocked down to 75 in a 60 and opted not to double the fine on.

She should have been pulled off the road the FIRST stop, for not having proof of
insurance. I don't know about that state, but in mine, if you don't have proof of
insurance, they will tow your car because according to the state, proof of insurance
is REQUIRED to operate a motor vehicle.
Since she probably told the officer she didn't care, they let her go in hopes of
racking up the bill so to speak.

2013-01-30 05:50:49 PM
I-90 from the La Crosse to about 20 miles east of the border is the stupidest stretch of interstate I've ever seen. People go about the speed limit in the "fast" lane. I'm not a speeder but I find myself pushing 85-90 just to get through that area.

2013-01-30 05:52:17 PM
Not news: Somebody went above the posted limit, did not crash, and as far as we know endangered nobody.
News: Ticketed for speeding four times in a row in a few hours.
Fark: For this victimless crime, she's labeled an idiot or worse by the peanut gallery.

You might want to read the article. The towns in question cover 150 miles of well traveled interstate and several counties.

Well that's because the state wanted the money...DUH!

You dont actually think speeding tickets are about SAFETY do you?!  Actually, I know YOU don't but an AWFUL lot of sheeple do.

Like somehow going 88mph instead of 75 makes the road SOOOOOO much less safe.  Stupid biatches.
