How could the Simpson's change their credits in 2009 when the series ended with episode where Ralph ran for president?

ThatGuyFromTheInternet: ununcle: Lost in Space. That is all.

This. John "Johnny" williams going from "meh" kiddish to Star Wars/Jaws/Jurassic Park/Indiana Jones scale anthem really shows his development as an artist. Shame its one of his lesser-known.

FirstNationalBastard: EyeballKid: FirstNationalBastard: I don't see what makes these few shows anymore special for having different intros than, say, Law and Order replacing cast members in the opening sequence.

And don't forget, the L&O theme changed from that tinny guitar played by some asshole who didn't know when to quit noodling to a smoother, deeper sound by a more restrained musician. I presumed it was to mark the passing of the torch from Michael Moriarty to Sam Waterston.

Actually, it was the year they switched from Dann Florek to Epatha Merkerson running the show that they cut down the intro from the 2 minute version to the nice, smooth 46 second version.

Ah, so it was. Thanks for the enlightenment.

I had been watching a few early episodes this week and made the statement to a friend that whoever the guitarist was who played on that first version couldn't have possibly played it and not looked like an absolute tool; probably even did that schtick where they close their eyes and shake their head back and forth, like even they cannot comprehend the awesomeness they're playing.

Checked for Game of Thrones, left satisfied.

I use the fact that it changes every time as an excuse, since it irritates mrs.jms, but, really, I want to watch it every time even if it didn't because:

a) the music
b) what I wouldn't do to have a wargaming table that did that.
