The article seems to be focusing on shows where the credits changed to reflect an actual development on the show, not just changing cast/hairstyles. I'm not familiar enough with most of those shows to know how good the list is, though.

Most of the instances they mention were because of changing cast, not some grand design.

X-Files, Happy Days, Petticoat Junction, and one other show were all updated because of cast changes.

The Simpsons was updated because of the move to 16x9 HD.

And the worst part of the article was the flowery prose written for the Dick Van Dyke Show's opening, when the reality was that CBS asked for something to be filmed to keep people interested from the beginning, so Carl Reiner, Sheldon Leonard, and Director John Rich decided to film the cast standing around while Rob comes home and trips over the ottoman. It was filmed in two minutes, and someone said "why not do one where he doesn't trip, so we can keep the audience guessing which one we'll use?", they took an extra two minutes to film that before going home.

And don't forget, the L&O theme changed from that tinny guitar played by some asshole who didn't know when to quit noodling to a smoother, deeper sound by a more restrained musician. I presumed it was to mark the passing of the torch from Michael Moriarty to Sam Waterston.

Actually, it was the year they switched from Dann Florek to Epatha Merkerson running the show that they cut down the intro from the 2 minute version to the nice, smooth 46 second version.

I don't see what makes these few shows anymore special for having different intros than, say, Law and Order replacing cast members in the opening sequence.

They left out the most important part of the Mary Tyler Moore evolution: "You might just make it after all" became "You're gonna make it after all."
