I think I'll skip the Larry Bird end-of-game playoff steal against the Pistons.

He's on fire!

Yeah, I was thinking this would feature Jordan v.s. Bird.

The Dr J. era had really great characters. The Bird, Jordan period was NBA at it's very best as a game. Current era, I'm surprised no one has been shot on the court.

Is there a chance things like this enter the public domain?

Hahahahahahahahahhahahahahahhahahahaaaaaa.

No.

Not in your lifetime, your child's lifetime, or possibly your grandchild's or great-grandchild's lifetime, especially if Disney has their way and enough politicians in their pocket.

One area in which I'll agree with the pro-piracy community is on retroactive extensions.

I remember seeing classic NHL playoff games for sale a while back. A looong while back. At least highlights, with some full games. I haven't checked recently. you'd think this would be a gold mine for the leagues.

1997 Finals, Bulls vs Jazz, Game 5......legendary.

Jordan: 44 minutes, 38 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals, decisive three point make with 25 seconds left to play, THE GOD DAMN FLU>

Greatest of all time~!!!

I know it's laughable that it would be allowed to happen. I was merely asking if things like TV broadcasts or syndicated shows have the possibility of entering public domain.

Was a young Seattle fan in High School in 96 during the finals...at our graduation speech, the key note speaker (then Secratary of State Chris Gregoire) was speaking, and when she paused...some dude from the stand yelled out "SONICS WON!"  Biggest cheer of the night.  Half of us had radios in our ears listening to the game.

Too bad we couldn't win.  One of those "if only Jordan had stayed in baseball 1 more year" kinda things.   Good times.

But think of the Bulls fans. If Jordan hadn't played baseball for three years, the team would have most likely won 9 straight titles.

/not so good for basketball, but holy shiat...that would have made up for several centuries of Cubbiness.

Jordan played baseball for a year and a half. They lost in the playoffs in '95 with him having been on the team for a couple of weeks.
