It's a sick, sad world when tornado drills have been replaced by school shooting drills. That said, they ought to make the experience as real as possible. Blanks are a great idea and good way of identifying which teachers are veterans who may have undiagnosed, untreated PTSD and are in need of treatment.

The interior of the bed and breakfast room that Bill Murray's character stays in, in the 1993 film, "Groundhog's Day," was built in a warehouse in Cary.

Suzanne Evenson of Cary was featured on HGTV's show House Hunters International on December 8, 2010, showcasing her family's move from Cary to Dubai.

Maggie Mitchell and friends from the class of 2004 were featured on MTV'shiat, High School Stories. They concocted a senior prank which included launching a boat into the Trojan trench. MTV came to Cary and recreated this.
