Not like he cares too much, he's going back to Milan today. Signing for AC Milan tomorrow morning.

Speaking of, are we having a game thread today? And are we going to strech it out three days so we can also use it for transfer deadline day?
Unfreakable, paging your advice good sir.

In transfer news I'm glad to see Shea going to stoke. The MLS structure is farking stupid in that both teams had a deal but the league can put the kibosh on it until they were happy with the terms.

Please submit one, there's not a single EPL thread in the sports queue right now.

Until all the teams become profitable, and the MLS can really stand on it's own, this isn't going to change for a while. Sad but unfortunately necessary at the current moment.
But good for Brek, hope it works out. He's had a rough year professionally.

As soon as the BBC puts up a live thread, I'll submit one, but I'm going to try to get a separate one in for transfer deadline day Thursday.

Don't feel too bad, I've been hella busy these past few weeks, probably wouldn't have been able to hang anyway. Feel free to give me a call the next time you're in town though.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'll miss Balotelli in the EPL. Sure he is a jerk and probably the worst athlete you could have on your team, but he made watching games more interesting. Like Barry Bonds, TO, OchoCinco, Lebron, Ron Artest. Sports needs villians.

On the plus side, this probably frees up some transfer money for City to make another move and make the title race more compelling.

They'll only have two days to get something together. They won't make a big name push in time.

Where'd you read this? Last I heard the deal was scrapped. Of course, these are transfers so things change quickly (ie Dempsey going to Liverpool, book it done...er, I mean Tottenham....).

Being a fan of Giggs is fine. He really is a stand up player. Being a fan of his team makes you a bad person.

I think we can all agree to disagree. I once got into an argument with a fat british girl b/c i told her that i support a bunch of teams. She informed me that i could not. I then explained that i like tottenham b/c of friedel/dempsey as well as bale and walcott. I also like swansea b/c they are a pretty damn good offensive team, etc. she didn't grasp the concept.

Let's get this out in the open: Hate Suarez, Hate balotelli, hate aguerro for what he did in the last minute of the game against sunderland? or was it stoke.

Everybody has their teams. Where would we be if we couldn't talk some trash back and forth in a friendly manner? This is a gentleman's game after all.

Well, I am not sad to see him go. He had a decent season last year, but he has been more trouble than he is worth from the moment he arrived. There is no product on the field this season (except for the one time he played with the EDS kids, apparently) and he doesn't look like he cares. Ship his ass. Maybe Guidetti will get a chance, or another striker will be bought in the summer. Doubt there is time now, unless something has been in the works, like a swap with someone at Milan or Messi declaring his desire to play for us.

greenboy, welcome to the Fark Footy threads. I used to be a regular, but since having a family and work being a total coont, I haven't been on as much. As a fellow United supporter, never EVER apologize to the liverpool scum on here. They're good folks and all, and I'd love to buy them a beer, but when it comes to football, they're with the bin dippers.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand...what car?

Thanks, and glad to be here. I know the arsenal fans are just pissed since their ownership thought podolski was going to score enough goals to replace RvP.

greenboy: Thanks, and glad to be here. I know the arsenal fans are just pissed since their ownership thought podolski was going to score enough goals to replace RvP.

Heh, as one of the resident Arsenal fans here, I'll answer how I saw it: we were going to lose RvP anyway. From the moment he posted his "Arsenal isn't being competitive" post on his webpage, it was essentially over. The only question was where. To a man, every Gunners fan I spoke with was hoping that if he was going to go, it would be somewhere outside of England (nearly everybody thought it would be Juventus, and it probably would have been except for their coach getting a long ban).

I said that I didn't want to lose RvP, that he was our main scorer and singlehandedly kept Arsenal in the CL. But I also remember  the years that RvP spent on the bench nursing injuries, and that at the age of 29, he might be prone to more of the same in the near future. I said in some thread last year that the jury is still out on the RvP sale. If Man U gets 2+ years out of him, it's a bet they've won. If he gets injured before then and spends a lot of time on the sidelines, it just may be that Arsenal got the best of that deal.

I'm happy with the purchase of Giroud and Podolski. Neither is the quality of RvP, but both were purchased before he left, and if it takes two to replace him, I think they do well to spread out the Arsenal attack and scoring threat. So far this season, RvP has 18 goals, which isn't surprising based on his quality and Man U's ability to get him service. However, Giroud and Podolski have 15 together, and Walcott already has 10, surpassing the 8 goals he had all of last season.
