Ugh.  Even the preview was boring and overdrawn.

And this is from the same SXSW that showed "A Serbian Film."

You know what? Don't Google that. Don't even think about it. I shouldn't have even brought it up.

What he said.

I just read the wiki, and is pretty much make 2 girls 1 cup respectable. There are bad people that make movies.

Just to clarify, the movie is extremely NSFW. I haven't even seen it. I just read a synopsis and I already felt sick to my stomach. I know someone who went to a screening. He said he felt physically weak after watching it. Hell, even reading the synopsis is probably very NSFW.

And this screened at SXSW. But they won't show Lohan's movie.

Wow.

I was surprised by this line:

I haven't seen the film, but I've seen some shiathouse films at film festivals (*cough* Buried *cough, cough*)

If he is talking about the movie with Ryan Reynolds I think he is nuts. I thought it was a really good movie with a great performance by Reynolds. I have recommended it to a few people, and all have liked it.

TFA: So yeah, it's fun to make fun of Lindsay Lohan being a train wreck, but festival organizers don't get a pass on being smug hypocrites either.

And if any festival knows about being smug and hypocritical, it's SXSW.

Aren't most indie movies kinda like watching paint dry?

I've seen a few that are intriguing at first, but the longer you watch, and the longer you wait...the more "nothing" happens.

I had to at least wiki it. Sounds like a great family film. Seriously though it sounds like the kind of movie every Rue Morgue-loving aspiring independent writer/director/actor I've ever met thought they could make and failed miserably. I really wish this degenerate fellow hadn't succeeded.

Well, the disgusting things that happen in the movie are a metaphor for the repressive communist regime, or something, so that makes it ok. Whereas Lindsey is just a skank.

I didn't think it was great, but it certainly wasn't shiatty.  And considering they made the whole thing on the crazy cheap, it was a darn sight better looking than most art house films.

Is no one going to mention the shiatty headline?

And of course they changed the headline, so now we look like a gaggle of pricks.

I thought Buried was a good film. Especially when you consider Ryan is the only actor shown in the whole film and he does a good job carrying the film. I don't think the writer knows what a bad film is.

A Serbian Film was actually an okay film. Its not as bad as people say it is.

Serbian Film was put on by Fantastic Fest (AKA Harry Knowles and Tim League of the Alamo Drafthouse). And yes, it was that bad. But not as bad as the actual filmmakers who were their to promote it. Farkin' psychos.
