That was actually pretty neat, but chalk it up to horrible defending really.

I didn't know the Washington Generals changed there shirt colours.

Was that from the AND1 soccer tour? I saw no defense at all.

/not a big soccer fan, but impressed by the skill it takes to accurately kick and to control passes like these guys do

God I love it when teams make that final pass to the open man.

I call fake. No fell down and flopped around faking an injury.

Did the opposition remind anybody else of the German national philosophy team?

That changes my view of soccer. I thought soccer was passing to a teammate or two and then kicking the ball to the opponent, back and forth, until the ball falls in the goal once every few hours or so.
If this is how soccer is intended to be played, it makes sense.

Came to say this. Every member of the team PLUS the goalie?

Came here to say that you'll see a goal almost this good in pretty much any Barca game over the last few years, ever.

They play absolutely spellbinding football.

Came here to say something about the Washington Generals playing football...only to see that it's already been done...twice...in less than 20 comments.

Great minds all run in the same...gutter.

PS That is how you're supposed to "use the field".

Also... remember when Alexis could finish?

Torres 2.0. It's been embarrassing to watch.

I'm fairly new to the world of soccer/football, but could you say that every scoring play was a "X pass scoring play"?

Is this play just interesting in that the defenders didn't touch the ball while 19 passes occurred?

Thank you, Subby. Soccer is so overly exciting that had this video included sound, my senses would have been so overwhelmed that I might have gone into an irreversible state of shock.

I always thought the bass player was the "odd man out" in a band.

That's tiki-taka. Fast paced short passes between players to open channels in the opposing defence. Very difficult but quite effective when done well. That's how Barcelona play, and they're the best team in the world. They've only lost to two teams this season, Real Sociedad and the glorious Glasgow Celtic.

I don't dig soccer, but that was kinda neat. I had the exact same thought as above.

I played Soccer from Kindergarten until High School, never watched it.

But you summed up what I was thinking. This is what my die-hard coaches were trying to get us to do as kids and we didn't get it. I remember one coach that kept trying to teach us to sucker the offense into the "Off-Sides Trap" since we weren't that good, but we couldn't get it.

It's a football game not in the United States and the stands aren't packed?

I can't blame you for failing at that one one bit. It's very, very difficult to do and the vast majority of professional sides can't pull it off, let alone kids. Good thinking from the coach but it's rather ambitious. The same, albeit to a lesser degree, applies to the offside trap. It's a good tactic but your defenders need to be both well-coordinated and very aware of what is happening further up the pitch to do it. Also if it doesn't work it leaves the opposing attacker with an open shot on goal. I wouldn't risk it with a youth side unless they were good enough to be seriously trained to play professionally.

This is why soccer is much more fun to play when you watch it, and much more fun to watch when you play it.

4 guys surrounding the guy with the ball and what do they do... Stroll casually towards him and then barely move when he goes to make a kick between two of them. Sorry, but my middle-school team would have done a better job than that. Because, you know, they would have actually TRIED.

Well, huck it, chuck it, football indeed.
