The rice still comes in those from the place by me. Everything else is in those plastic containers.

I hate these foodbeast videos. If anyone has that much trouble prepping and/or eating, I hope they have live-in caretakers. 'Cause dam.

2013-01-29 08:08:15 AM
It's a stupid trick not relevant to my life because those containers aren't used here, with a bonus of infomercial level duh from a videomaker whose mannerisms are of such quiet distaste I find myself seeking cosigners for a class action against this man from every single person who has ever had the misfortune to make eye contact with him while he eats.

I'm not sure which is worse, the lame box destruction, or the sheer punchability of that facial expression at the end.

At the end, the guy looked like Paul Ryan, so I'm going with punchability.

And yes, that was stupid.  There are poop threads that are less of a waste of time.

Plates are good. The sheer punchability of the facial expression of the end is a bonus. Kinda like dessert, but without adding calories.

There seems to be no fluid at all in that Lo Mein. What if I got say, Hunan tofu, which is very saucy?

Also, 'being able to be ripped apart' =/= 'transformer'.

The amounts of food in both of those containers are no where near the same. If you tried to plop the amount of noodles from the right container on to the left one, you'd having a giant farking mess.

That said, I have to do a partial deconstruction by removing the wire handle everytime I nuke my leftovers so I don't get Chinese New Year in my microwave.

disposable tin pie bottom and a plastic lid. a piece of cardboard on the bottom of the paper bag it is carried in if the pie tin is very hot.

This is news... for people who arrived here with Mr. H.G. Wells after boarding his time machine in the year 1895.

My family has been doing this for as long as those containers have existed. The ones with the wire handles are the best because you can re-fold them, stick the wire handles back in, and store the leftovers in the fridge. Paper clips punched through roughly the same location allow you to do the same thing for the ones without wire handles, but it's a pain in the ass to find a paper clip in my house. To be honest, we usually don't bother. Instead, we just fold the "plate" into a V shape and pour the leftovers into a seal-able container (which is usually the empty large wonton soup container- reduce/reuse/recycle, as they say).

Obviously, this is NOT a good process for any food that is extra gooey or has lots of liquid.

Idiots, the best part of sai fun is the bottom of the container where all the sauce applied filters down.

Nah, that list would start with any of the Gawker derivatives. After we get rid of those we can look at trimming the rest of the fat.

MythDragon: That said, I have to do a partial deconstruction by removing the wire handle everytime I nuke my leftovers so I don't get Chinese New Year in my microwave.

I leave the wire on all the time. At worst, it will get too hot and burn the container where it attaches to it. To avoid that, microwave for no more than a minute, remove, stir, and repeat until desired temperature is reached.

BREAKING NEWS

I just discovered that you can turn your Arby's bag into a plate.  Simply remove the food and flatten the bag into a plate.

I'm a f*cking genius.  I can't wait for my greenlight.

Wait, if you deconstruct a box, you're left with a flat surface that you can use as a rudimentary plate?

What's next? A video showing how a Chipotle bag also serves as a functional eating surface for burritos?

Well, the link is now un-farked.

What's more interesting than TFA is that this site still has a link to the "iPhone cup holder" article.
