Like all liberals, Howard Kurtz is affrighted of this strapping perspicacious conservative sparkplug.

The biggest tragedy of all this is that Lisa Ann's career may finally be over.

In an interview with Breitbart.com, Palin talks about broadening her audience, saying: "I know the country needs more truth-telling in the media, and I'm willing to do that."

By 2012, tea party fervor had faded, and the GOP had moved on from the Palin era. The movie "Game Change" depicted Palin as a temperamental and ignorant candidate who wasn't much interested in learning. And Fox itself, after parting company with Glenn Beck, edged away from the hard right. During the Republican National Convention, Palin complained one night that Fox had canceled her appearances.

Well there's your problem. And not just Palin's problem, I mean the entire GOP.

The real problem is she's well on the wrong side of 45, and its starting to show.

She wasn't hired for her brains.

If her slide into obscurity continues... she just might be forced to run for office again.

If by "45", you referring to her IQ, then yes, that is absolutely correct.

SP does one thing well - flamebait. She rattles people who are susceptible to being rattled and gets them to open their wallets. Any person who sits and clearly listens to what she is saying, how she is saying it and how many times she says it should be able to tell she does not have a solid idea to stand on. Yet, there those people who simply do not wan to listen and instead only want to key on those things that SP says that tweak their biases and fears, irrational as they are. One thing that SP does not do well though is come up with new material. She is spouting the same old lines from the 2008 election. When she does come up with a new twist on her scare agenda, it is either so ridiculous that nobody takes it seriously or it is picked apart in a few seconds.

The stage lights went out, the curtain came down and the audience filed out of the theatre long ago on the SP sideshow, yet she does not seem to understand that it happened. Probably due to Roger Ailes & Co propping her ego up for all this time as she was a bankable talking head. As far as political heavyweight? She never really was one and history will show her to be less of a force in government and more a politco-entertainment-flash-in-the-pan. She is simply not a very intelligent person who had the luxury of being in the right place, at the right time and chosen to run for VP by a person who clearly did not do his homework when vetting her.

Or so I've heard.

I've said this before. At the end of the '08 election, I thought, if Palin is smart, she would go back to Alaska, finish out her term there away from the national spotlight. All the while surrounding herself with the best & brightest Republican policy wonks money could buy. She would spend 2 years making quiet progress at the state level and cram as much economics and foreign policy as she could. Then emerge 2 years later and do some national level appearances to get the ball rolling for 2012. If she had done that, she could've challenged Obama in 2012 and had a real good chance of getting elected. But, no. She went for the easy money.

She's a catty sorority girl who tripped and stumbled into a substantial political career... of course she went for the easy money.

She may not be too bright, but you can bet she knows enough to know that when you're a textbook example of "fake it till you make it," you get while the gettin' is good.

On October 2, 2008, Lisa Ann was confirmed to star in Who's Nailin' Paylin?[10] parodying 2008 Republican Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin. The movie, produced by Larry Flynt's Hustler Video, portrays Lisa Ann in sex scenes with other female porn stars parodying well-known female political figures, such as Hillary Clinton (played by veteran porn star Nina Hartley) and Condoleezza Rice (played by Jada Fire). This movie was released on election day November 4, 2008.

On October 31, 2008 Hustler announced that Lisa Ann was going to star in Obama is Nailin' Paylin a scene that continued on the adventures of Lisa as Sarah Paylin except this time Barack Obama would be lampooned as well.[10] The scene is only available through their Hustler members website and on the Blu-ray release of the movie. It is not available on the DVD release.[11] This "bonus scene" was released on election eve November 3, 2008. It was announced in March 2009 that Hustler plans to produce a sequel to Who's Nailin' Paylin? with Lisa Ann reprising her role as "Serra Paylin". The movie was released on August 26, 2009 and titled "Letterman is Nailin Palin."[12][13]

The bit with the Russians was, indeed, from the original NAILIN' PAYLIN.

The bits with the Obama impersonator and David Letterman was from the sequel.

She also did an'interactive disc' she did that teamed her up with Alexis Texas for a couple of scenes.

And, believe it or not, some other company made a NAILIN' PAYLIN knock off with another actress who
really didn't look like The Divine Sarahtm

That's more damning any Hollywood depiction.

Sarah Palin isn't stupid. She's actually very talented at one thing, and that thing is shameless self-promotion.

It's a skill that's served her very well, according her positions of power that, reasonably speaking, she was never even remotely qualified for. But through the power of her personality and a good eye for opportunities, she succeeded.

With all that said, she's also utterly amoral. She enjoys attention and knew how to attract it, and it didn't matter to her (or conservatives in general) whether she used truth or lies to garner it.

However, her time is indeed closing out. Her waffling reluctance to ever fully endorse Romney made it clear that she would no longer be able to effectively be a Fox cheerleader. Beck and Palin are so 2010, just like the Tea Party. In the same way you throw away reminders of your failures, Fox is clearing house to try and get new blood to attract the people that stopped watching after the election.

KhamanV: Holy shiatsnacks, she looks tired. Like actually and memetastically.

Yeah, she does look tired, and frankly I found her Fox News segments to be extremely boring. I think they just had her read off of a script, and they didn't go to much effort to find talented people to write those scripts for her, either.

I'd take odds on seeing her in bankruptcy court before the next election.
