FWC's Log, stardate 45224.29. Day One of our existence under the rule of the Corporate Elbow.

After seeing our hero unceremoniously jobbed out to the machinations of Dear Leader Vince and his squad of bookers, we, the intrepid crew of the U.S.S. FWC, have never been less sure of what lies before us.  Our best...maybe our only hope....is that the tyrannical reign of the Corporate Elbow will be part-time, as some have foretold.  Nonetheless, we will persevere, as we have done so often before when Dear Leader Vince runs wild on the fans.

Now, we look to ourselves for strength, and to some of our best members for leadership in these hard times.  If we're lucky, the Great and Powerful Trixie can find a way to harness the Elements of Smarkony, and together with our Blazer Champion, the mysterious Man from PA, his buddy from St. Paul, the dynamic duo of Bobby and the Gorilla, and many more, we can use the Elements to call upon the spirit of our friend ++BZZZCARRLOST++ and his allies from Japan to banish Vince and his hired elbow from our midst.

I was entertaining friends last night watching the Rumble which is why I wasn't here. Tonight I (unfortunately) have to go to a funeral reception and wake (not my family), so if i am here it will be late. I'll just post this here (from the tail end of the Rumble thread)

"Well Brian, what did you think about the Rumble?"

"Watching it was more painful than being Owen Hart's stunt double."

"You called it last year Brain."

"Indeed I did, when I said that some of John Cena's make-a-wish kids are going to have a longer life than that stupid 'once in a lifetime' theme!"

"And here we are..."

"Yep... I don't drink enough for this job!"

We all know what's going to happen: the 10-week build to Rock-Cena II People's Elbow Boogaloo starts tonight. The only question between now and then is whether or not Punk gets added to make it a 3-way match.

Oh, and Team Hell No drops the tag belts tonight. Book it. Done.

2013-01-28 11:49:48 AM
"Randy Orton is the favorite going into the Elimination Chamber, Monsoon."

"Why do you say that Brain?"

"He has the most experience in Elimination Chambers, I mean we call them 'gymbags' but..."

"WILL YOU STOP?"

With the exception of Jericho's return, wherein I marked out like a 12-year-old, what little excitement I had for Wrestlemania died last night. It's pretty obvious it'll be a Rock/Cena repeat, and 2013 will be the year of Champion SuperCena all over again.

On the other side, Daniel Bryan continues to be completely misused. The whole Team Hell No gimmick has been pretty good, but entirely inappropriate for the best technical wrestler in the world right now. I'd be more receptive of it if they didn't bury DB in the ring at every turn and they were honestly serious about reviving the tag team division, but it just drives me bonkers how much his talent is being wasted.

Though on a positive note, Punk dropping the title might be freeing him up for Punk/Taker at WM. I'd pay to see that. And more Jericho. Always needs more Jericho.

Well, the Rumble was certainly a thing that happened, wasn't it?  A few things I enjoyed:

- Kofi's engineering skills paying off to escape from the Spanish Announce Table
- Kane and Daniel Bryan's long looks into eachother's eyes before the inevitable blow up of their tag team
- Punk fixing the Spanish Table twice
- Ryder's flip/faceplant when eliminated from the Rumble

And yeah...we all got the endings we expected.  But, at least I had Cena in my Rumble pool and won $45 out of it.  Silver linings and whatnot.

Before my Totalfark runs out, some Tales from the US Airways Center last night,

Kids were happy
Cena kids were Yaying when that douche won
Ryberg chants and Y2J chants almost made me deaf.
Smarks were pissed
There was a fight near a Peter Piper Pizza stand
3 signs of ours were taken
The moment Vince came out, I felt a great disturbance in the Force as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced.
Saw a GT-R, friend wanted to take a picture and put it on his facebook
It rained one more time as we left
We ate at Potbelly's
GF wanted to watch Paraboring Activity 4 while I promise myself to never EVER buying tickets for a another WWE event again.

Unlike Linda.

Thankfully.

An area restaurant was hosting a Rumble event, so I went over to watch, along with my good friend (and adopted FWC member), Matt.

Very good turnout, and a very lively but friendly bunch.  Lots of fun was had by all, though there was much wailing and grinding of teeth at the way both the Rumble and the title match ended.

Of course, neither of us could attend without repping with our FWC shirts!  WWWYKI!

If you wanted to raise hell, all you have to do is say this:  "I thought last night's PPV was pitch perfect, and both Cena and the Rock deserved to win"

Then, all you have to do is try and get away before Tenor comes all the way down from Canada to beat you with a kendo stick.  :D

Obviously this means that he has to hold onto the title until WM 30, leaving John Cena to defeat Ziggles for his briefcase on Raw (why not) beat up Ricardo's pal and set the stage for Rock Cena III the unification: Once in a lifetime for the THIRD time.

Meanwhile Punk is jobbing to Layla for the Diva's title and Daniel Bryan is repackaged in NXT with a possum gimmick causing him to faint at the sign of any physical confrontation.

A friend of mine had a better idea for the booking of this crap last night.  He suggested that The Shield do a run in with Punk winning because of it.  Vince comes out, strips him of the title and declares it vacant, with a new champion to be decided at Elimination Chamber where Rock eventually wins.

Instead, now Rock will be defending (and guaranteed to win) at Elimination Chamber.  That match is now a solid "who gives a fark".

Very excited about tonight. i LOVE that gold dust and jericho came back. I'm hoping for a feud with cody for golddust (does anyone know if it was one appearance or a contract has been signed?)

not THAT upset about punk losing the belt..because ive prepared myself emotionally for it. I'm actually thinking that he will hold the belt until WM and drop it back to punk. Anyone else think that could happen

I will say I am glad to see The Heavy get some headline music action on the Rumble last night. Those guys are some amazing musicians and it was nice to see their song get a headline theme to the whole thing. Not to mention this latest album is really solid.

Rock is merely a transitional champion before we get our nice long Cena reign through at least SummerSlam.
