OK, I'll play.   Why don't you post this again when you have some evidence that something actually happened?

// I did enjoy the talking matzoh.

I read a report about this last night from an Israeli website that was citing a report from WorldNetDaily.

Yeah, I'm going to wait for confirmation first.

Seems legit

No, really!  My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw a huge explosion at the nuclear facility last week. I guess it's pretty serious.

I want this to be true just so I can use two words from the article out of context, as they jumped out from the page at me.

"Holy Shi'ite"

2013-01-28 09:29:45 AM
I have seen no mention of this on Haaretz or YNet or any other established Israeli news venues. And all the ones that report this cite to either NewsMax or WorldNetDaily.

Take this report how you may.

2013-01-28 09:30:42 AM
Oh, wait, I guess YNet confirmed the explosion now with an Israeli official.

2013-01-28 09:47:13 AM
I bet the Jews did this.

Well, that's different from an imminent Hezbollah invasion.

Thank you for using the non-flashy NEWS tag, Subby. It is appreciated.

If there was a real explosion, I'm leaning towards it being an accident, and the Iranians saying, "Oh shiat. Quick, blame the Jews."

Why are they invading from Lebanon? That's no where near Israel, and their aren't a lot of Jews in Lancaster county.

RexTalionis: Oh, wait, I guess YNet confirmed the explosion now with an Israeli official.

Not really, what the official said was if there was an explosion and no one was killed awesome

Doesn't sound like he was confirming anything

I doubt an ex Iranian nation guard who's been out of the country for decades has insider info. Something like that would be hard to cover up, others would be talking

Well, as someone living in Tel Aviv who heard multiple explosions during the last round, news like this is unnerving...

The fact the MSM isn't reporting this is evidence of something. We should begin congressional investigations to impeach Obama over this.

Ynetnews is the English language website of the biggest paper in Israel. They only have News Max links for the click revenue.

Yair Lipid, who's upstart party just came in second in the election, used to write op-eds on ynetnews. In general they are center and secular

Benghazi isnt a scandal yet! Wait lets not start talking about Iran!

The Telegraph goes out of the way to point out that this rumor is completely unsubstantiated and comes from the "Right wing news website WND", which I am glad to see they are identified as right-wing and also not really identified at all

You're in Tel Aviv, you should be used to that by now. That's like someone living in Tijuana, Mexico and being shocked that there is a drug violence around them.

Iran has been shouldering a LOT of pressure from the sanctions, and have had to believe that taking that pressure is completely worth what they're getting out of it.  If this explosion is true, and if it is as damaging to their program as some of these dubious reports suggest, then they're now in the position where they're still under all of this pain from the sanctions and HAVE NOTHING TO SHOW FOR IT anymore.  All the west really has to do is maintain the pressure, and continue using worms, assassinations and sabotage to force the timeline ever longer out until the regime crumbles or they give up.

That really could force them make a huge move...either giving up and caving in to all the pressure and giving "The West" what we want (full access to everything, complete inspections and verification of no program and the dismantling of any program that does exist) *or* the exact opposite...forcing their hand to start being extremely aggressive.

Or - we could see exactly what we saw in 2007 when Israel took out the Syrian plant...nothing at all from either side.

Funny how the timing of this just happens to push Iran's claim of having launched a monkey into space off the front page. Coincidence, I'm sure.

If it turns out that there was sabotage by Israel, will be be seeing airstrikes on Washington by the USAF to punish the US Gov't for providing material support to terrorists?
