In other news, some DMV testing is bullshiat and will let people slide even when they arent capable.

/Watched an old lady "pass" her test myself. Repeatedly kept giving the wrong answers on eye exam, and the person giving the test kept saying "Are you SURE thats the right answer?" until she guessed correctly.

More evidence that keeping your sense of humour contributes to healthy longevity.

Of course, healthy longevity probably contributes to keeping your sense of humour, so we have the classic philosophical problem of distinguished cause from effect, but let's just split the difference and say that humour makes you live long and living long strengthens your sense of humour or kills you.

The 105 years isn't as impressive to me as this:

"Edythe Kirchmaier has a perfect 86 year driving record - with no accidents, parking, or moving violations."

IN CALIFORNIA?!

This article reminded me of my Grandmother a little. Never drove a day in her life but decided to get her drivers license for the first time when she was in her 70s. My Granfather's Alzheimers had started to progress so at her request, we collectively taught her to drive. Once ready she got her learners permit and then she'd drive with her licensed driver (my grandfather) in the car to church or the grocery in the small town where they lived. Then once she was really comfortable, went in and took the driving portion of the exam.

That's what happens when you have a license but don't drive for 86 years.

That's what happens when you have a license but don't drive for Dementia, and can't remember anything that's happened in the last 86 years.

She just doesn't remember them...

It's not that she didn't speed, it's just that the cops couldn't catch her Shiny Red Super Stock Dodge.

/And everybody's sayin' that there's nobody meaner
Than the little old lady from Pasadena
She drives real fast and she drives real hard
She's the terror of Colorado Boulevard

A perfect example why most Farkers will see the retirement age raised to 88 in their lifetimes.
