The footage, captured this morning at Alexandra Heads in Mooloolaba .... when a serious of tornadoes ripped through the coastal towns of Burnett Heads, Bargara, Burrum Heads and Coonarr near Bundaberg

*goes wall-eyed*
*starts drooling*

/And I thought Maine had some bizarre town names

That's freaky. You've got to wonder about the driver, though: How the Hell could they see where they were going?

/If you watch carefully, you can see the car coming from a ways off by the ripple in the foam.

Good thing this didnt happen in the US - driver would have been dragged foam the car and tazed till he had a heart attack.

There's foam in the sea? What the hell, nature? As a midwesterner who's afraid of the outside world, I'll keep my tornadoes and blizzards. You all can have your scary Cthulhu suds.

I was wondering the same thing. In the US at least that amount of foam is frequently caused by raw sewage being dumped into the ocean.

It would be from any kind of waste (natural or dumped), the same thing happens in a foam fractionator (protein skimmer) for marine and reef tanks. I wouldn't go in that stuff it's nasty and stinks. Basically liquid poop and air.

Lyrics by Geoff Mack, as sung by Lucky Starr (1962)

Well, I was humpin' my bluey on the dusty Oodnadatta road,
When along came a semi with a high and canvas-covered load.
(Spoken) "If you're goin' to Oodnadatta, mate, um, with me you can ride."
So I climbed in the cabin and I settled down inside.
He asked me if I'd seen a road with so much dust and sand, I said
"Listen, mate, I've travelled ev'ry road in this here land."

Chorus:
Cos "I've been everywhere, man,
I've been everywhere, man.
'Cross the deserts bare, man;
I've breathed the mountain air, man.
Of travel I've had my share, man.
I've been ev'rywhere.

Been to:
Tullamore, Seymour, Lismore, Mooloolaba,
Nambour, Maroochydore, Kilmore, Murwillumbah,
Birdsville, Emmaville, Wallaville, Cunnamulla,
Condamine, Strathpine, Proserpine, Ulladulla,
Darwin, Gin Gin, Deniliquin, Muckadilla,
Wallumbilla, Boggabilla, Kumbarilla,
I'm a killer.

Chorus
(Spoken) "Yeah but listen here, mate, have you been to..."

I've been to Moree, Taree, Jerilderie, Bambaroo,
Toowoomba, Gunnedah, Caringbah, Woolloomooloo,
Dalveen, Tamborine, Engadine, Jindabyne,
Lithgow, Casino, Brigalow and Narromine,
Megalong, Wyong, Tuggerawong, Wangarella,
Morella, Augathella, Brindabella, I'm the feller.

Chorus
(Spoken) "Yeah, I know that, but have you been to..."

I've been to Wollongong, Geelong, Kurrajong, Mullumbimby,
Mittagong, Molong, Grong Grong, Goondiwindi,
Yarra Yarra , Bouindarra, Wallangarra, Turramurra,
Boggabri, Gundagai, Narrabri, Tibooburra,
Gulgong, Adelong, Billabong, Cabramatta,
Parramatta, Wangaratta, Coolangatta, what's it matter?

Chorus
(Spoken) "Yeah, look that's fine, but how about..."

I've been to Ettalong, Dandenong, Woodenbong, Ballarat,
Canberra, Milperra, Unanderra, Captains Flat,
Cloncurry, River Murray, Kurri Kurri, Girraween,

It's not half as bad as the bilgewater you're dumping in this thread.

/Only mouth foam involved
//It's bacteria related, but not necessarily sewage

From the very first line of your link...
"Sea foam, ocean foam, beach foam, or spume is a type of foam created by the agitation of seawater, particularly when it contains higher concentrations of dissolved organic matter"

What do you think raw sewage consists of exactly?

What is with the idiots standing in the road and almost getting hit by something big coming at them, then calling the guy a 'dick'? It is called a road and it wasn't like he was the only vehicle moving. Find somewhere else to stand barefoot in raw sewage foam. No, I will not move there.

Your post implied that sea foam was caused only by pollution, a common misconception. I was pointing out that mistake. Yes, sewage contains ",,,concentrations of dissolved organic matter", but so do my farts and there's no foam blowing out my ass...usually. I'm always hearing the tourists say that the beach here in Ocean Shores is polluted because for the residue of sea foam, an oily, sticky goo that is toxic to touch and can dissolve car finishes. There is more natural processes here than pollution by mankind.

/But it's a common mistake. Even the US dept of ecology is panicked by the tsunami debris washing ashore with "alien" lifeforms attached when those lifeforms have been coming ashore on flotsam and jetsam for millennia. It still isn't polution.
