Great. Another fundie asshole with his attention-whoring on display. Colin, you are a talented athlete. Bully for you. But you play a farking game. You aren't saving starving children, or digging wells in the Third World. You are no hero, and all your tattooed douchebaggery about having God's strength on your side doesn't make you anything more than a talented athlete playing a game.

Of course that's a real topic on ESPN, how else do you expect them to fill time on a 24 hour network during an off week in the NFL? Do you expect them to cover hockey or something? Ha!

*facepalm* I honestly didn't know - don't have TV, don't watch ESPN. I've heard it was bad, but if that image is real I seriously didn't realize it had reached that level of stupidity. I guess it's my fault for being surprised.

I don't understand why a young man with a beautiful silhouette and and a toned, muscled body would inject permanent ink into vast areas of skin.
Perhaps if you rightfully believe you have an incredible canvas, it's only logical to put some art on it.

Having said that, I then shrug and move on, because it's none of my concern. To each his own. Enjoy your ball game, Mr. Kaepernick, and stay safe.

Go to the all you can eat seafood buffet and talk about it with your bible study group while wearing your blended fabrics. Then when you are done talk about bringing back stoning people to death. Jesus would want that.

So is God going to side with Colin Kaepernick or Ray Lewis in the big game?

I can't tell yet because they are both really loud Godshouters, probably to get the big guy to pick a side.

When I was a wee little Southern Baptist child, tattoos were a major taboo for that reason. It's still throwing me for a loop that every trendy youth minister/worship leader/fundy athlete are all getting religious themed tattoos.

So if he loses does that mean God hates him? Is he going to blame God for the loss?

Either God is responsible for everything or nothing. You can't cherry pick the things God does in your life.

This *may* be the year I get a tat. *May.* If I do, it'll be my dad's initials because he died 10 years ago this coming November. That being said, getting ink because its trendy or looks good or "completes" you will always be farking stupid. If you want it, make it mean something.

...Has a good reason to put tattoos everywhere on his body.

And as a side note, dear ESPN, yes, you ARE allowed to show actual sports (even minor ones, like, I guess hockey or soccer), instead of inane talking heads for 50% of your programming.

//ala carte channel shopping can't come fast enough just so I can get rid of the ESPN surcharge

It's gonna be a great rivalry in the NFC West for a long time. Mr. Perfect, with his heaps of charisma, who quietly and naturally instills confidence and draws teammates to himself, vs. the bro-douche with the chin pubes and the punchable face who likes to grab attention by almost literally wearing his faith on his sleeve.

It's probably because the bible itself is secondary to the social function of religion. Don't get me wrong, if that this was followed literally the world would be a farking disaster, but it takes more than mention in the bible before a Christian sect recognizes something.

So, you flunked sunday school, eh?
The priest that teaches my bible study group is always carrying on about fasting. I definitely need to go to a cooler church like the ones you know about.

You all are gonna burn in hell for eating at Long John Silvers.

"Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets. I have come not to abolish but to fulfill. Amen, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest part or the smallest part of a letter will pass from the law, until all things have taken place." (Matthew 5:17)
