Billy Dee deserves to be in anything Star Wars he damn well wants. He was the only black man in space at one point.

Cameo? Give him a leading role in all three movies.

Chasing Amy totally ruined Lando for me. Any time I see Lando, all I hear is a pissed-off Hooper. I wonder what he thought of Mace Windu.

Nice. While he was good as Lando in the Star Wars flicks, I always thought his best role was Apollo Creed.

When he was filming in San Diego back in the late 90's, I met him while I was working at a clothing store. Dude was 100% class all the way. Became a bit of a regular customer of mine. Really down to earth.

I wish him all the luck in the world.

I didn't like it when shatter did this and I don like it now. I for one donor have high hopes for this and to write In a part just because spells epic failure.

What next, Jar Jar want a role as well?

If they give everyone 1 minute cameos, that would be lame.

Make him the President of the New Republic or something, and give him a solid 10 minutes of screen time.

I heard that Billy Dee only took the role of Harvey Dent in the 1989 Batman movie because he knew the character would eventually turn into Two-Face. But when that didn't pan out, they ended up having to buy him off of their contractual obligations so Tommy Lee Jones could play him in that shiatty Joel Schumaker film.

I think he got the better side of the deal on that.

I read a post once where someone was complaining because the only important black character (apparently there were six shown in the OT but only two had lines) Lando not only had a criminal background but as soon as Han was frozen took the Millennium Falcon without permission and to top it off , for some reason, started wearing Hans clothes.

Later, standing in line to get Williams' autograph, Hathaway said he's a bit different from the lifelong Williams fans in the audience. He was introduced to Williams through "Star Wars," but he has followed more of the actor's later work on shows such as "Robot Chicken" as well as in other guest appearances he makes.

"I've seen him a lot in new sitcoms these days," he said. "I've been getting to be more of a fan of him."

Anyone else briefly think they were reading The Onion right about there?

He had a major guest spot on Modern Family recently and was one of the highlights of the episode. He also had an nice extended cameo on the episode of Lost where they finally killed off those damn annoying characters Nikki & Paolo.

Sure. But you do not get the designation "Superfan".

You are so blind! You so do not understand! You weren't there at the beginning. You don't know how good it was! How important! This is it for you! This jumped-up firework display of a toy advert! People like you make me sick! What's wrong with you?!

One of the worst movies I've seen, *EVAR*.

It had great potential, but they made the mistake of camping it up. Had they played it serious, it would have been a much better film.

The acting wasn't good enough was serious. Camping it up was juuuuuust right. Serious would have been boring (and they would have needed much better actors). But camping it up... it's on my 'must watch again' list.

I think my feelings about Iron Sky are colored by NOT having seen the trailer. Everyone who's seen the trailer is pissed off at the final product. That trailer was pretty cool, but yeah, I can see how if you saw the trailer first you'd be mighty disappointed at what actually appeared on screen. I'd be pissed off, too.

For me, it was a roulette wheel netflix choice (kind of like FDR BadAss, another horrible and racist movie which if you're in the right mood its hilarious as fk). The start of the final battle scene is what would have put this on my 'watch this every time it comes on' list... if they still did those for regular tv.

The reason why the Nazis bleached James Washington, instead of killing him, and their reaction to James after bleaching him, is kinda deep. Especially Renate's reaction towards why James doesn't like to be bleached.

/the Finns making the Americans too embracing of Nazi propaganda is a nice touch
// Renate's reaction to watching the Great Dictator uncut is kinda poignant
///North Korea .. hahahah!

I don't get it either. Well, actually, I do. Joke's about unicorns aside, it shouldn't be a joke anymore. Lando's an important part of the Star Wars universe. For any alleged fan to question his inclusion (or the inclusion of the actor playing him) in other Star Wars' collabos is just..... no, anyone saying he shouldn't have a part is definitely not a real Star Wars fan.

Smart man. I would have loved to have seen Billy Dee's version of Two-Face's conflict. :( What could have been.....

It did have some bright spots, to be sure: The Renate character is one.

I think the premise was good, but even with the level of actors they had, it could have been a much better film (I didn't see the trailer either). It was never going to be great, but it could have been decent. Certainly the premise isn't any more stupid than that of "Cowboys and Aliens".

There are few films I just can't finish watching because they are so excrementally bad, and Iron Sky was one of them. If I were Finnish, I'd be ashamed that came out of my country.

/They've gone downhill ever since their team won gold in full contact biathlon at the 1940 Winter Games.

I always thought that meme should have stopped at two, particularly two characters who were similar enough. You want to use a shot of Mal with a quote from Han Solo, I get that. The third one in just gives it zero chance for anyone to think it's a mistake.

Billy D Williams and Harrison Ford have aged relatively well. Mark Hammil and Carrie Fischer? Not so much. You want Lando and Solo in there? I could go for that. Luke and Leia? Ugh...

I had a dream where Billy Dee Williams was dry-humping my wife on the bedroom floor at a black-and-white formal party. He kept saying, "Damn, that's smooth."

Then again, I had a dream that I was shucking corn with Hulk Hogan in the living room of a Nebraska farm house.

Also had a dream that I was climbing my way around a huge spider web with Leonard Nimoy.

Worked with him briefly at a Convention. He was grumpy the entire time, his handlers were dicks and he would not, under any circumstances, sign any thing related to Colt. 45. He was also charging like $50 a auto to boot. Rude as hell to the autograph seekers, which is always a shame. Wouldn't even give eye contact.

We contracted him for an additional 50 or so autographs on various things to sell later. He and his handlers (who were the biggest assholes in the room) tried to skip town on us. They were bit in the ass when the plane was delayed by nearly a day and slunk back after we kept calling them.

He needs work beyond Cons bad, it seems. I would petition against him just because he was a repeated dick to everyone over his one day appearance.
