He is the most fiscally irresponsible person I have ever heard. Obamas spending is like giving a 7 year old your high limit credit card and your bank account then letting him loose in a toy/candy/computer game store with all his friends and everyone he has met on the net. And that wouldn't come close to Obamas irresponsibility.

It amazes me how every one of his spending bills flies through Congress unanimously.

Why don't you try looking up actual numbers, sunshine?

Maybe you should invest in a grade school class on insults. He added ½ or $4.95 trillion to the collected debt in the first 2½ years in office. The national debt in his four years has nearly doubled and these are numbers going back to 1795. I use facts, you rely on your Obama boot licking dreams.

Are you aware of this thing called inflation? I mean, and population growth and all the other stuff that happened since 1795?

Also, we did increase debt, and look at our economy versus those who cut spending over in EuropeLand.

They did the right thing by spending as they did, including half of that amount as current accounting for emergency war spending that was previously kept off the books for budgetary reasons. (Lying about the true state of the deficit.)

The spending is not a huge issue. $16 trillion is not an unmanageable number.

Breathe. Relax.

Apples to oranges all the others are 96 month budgets, Obamas is an 26 month budget 96/26 =396% so Obamas 35%* 3.96  is 129% increase, and those figures for Obama are suspiciously low.

So it's all his fault even though someone else (actually nearly 1000 someone elses) have total control over what ultimately gets spent, for what, and how much.

Every dollar spent on bullets in Iraq should be redirected to being spent on nurses, hospital orderlies, and employing migrant farm workers. that would make the nation healthier at one level, and at another level put the most under-educated and unskilled workers to work being productive. Who cares if it is federal money being spent on jobs? It would be an amazing employment boost, make the nation healthy. In the case of the farm workers, it would make precarious, hitherto disposable, workers secure, thus lowering crime and homelessness rates (and the medical and policing expenses involved with that).

maxalt: I use facts...

Here you go:

The budget for fiscal year 2001 (the last written by President Clinton) had a surplus of $127.1 billion:

Link

The budget for fiscal year 2009 (the last written by President Bush) was projected to have a deficit $1.2 trillion:

Link (PDF)

This projection was made Jan 7, 2009, two weeks before President Obama took office.

The budget for fiscal year 2013 is projected to have a deficit of $900 billion:

Link

...but yeah, it's all Obama's fault.

I know you're probably a Troll, but I see people say this kind of thing all the time (mostly on Facebook). Do these people not understand how the Federal Budget works? Do they think Obama just magically picks stuff out of thin air to cause $1Trillion deficits at his whim?

Obama is going to put a stop to irresponsible financial behavior.

So he's going to start borrowing like crazy (since interest rates are below the rate of inflation) and spending trillions on infrastructure improvements and jobs and education programs.

Even PA Republicans think that's pants-on-head retarded.

Right. So the best way to fix it is....

get rid of SS, Medicare and Medicaid, dismantle the ACA, and massive new tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations? Did I do that right?

Gee, do you think it could maybe have something to do with the fact that we have 300 million people in this country and maybe, just maybe they might require more resources?

I bet you bought Mitt Romney's bullsh*t about how the Navy is less powerful now than in 1917 because we have fewer ships.

Which wasn't actually that high. How are we recording those "entitlement" numbers.

I know that SS ran a deficit for a bit there, but that has been corrected.

If you take out Medicare and SS, which are paid for with specific taxes, what is really left?

sure they are. As long as they are not forcing people to patronize their business, they are providing a service that people like taking advantage of. I don't know any well-to-do people who patronize such places. Therefore, they're giving some poor people what they need/want

Payday loans keep a person with little money in permanent hock to the lender, usually with a 300% (or more) interest rate. As far as WIC or TANF/SNAP, there are a lot of hoops you have to go thru to get them as well, sadly.
