vpb: Well, the signature on my dollar bill is clearly false, since it has Geithner's signature on it and he isn't the Treasure Secretary any more, and it looks like it was printed to me.So that means it's forged right?
BronyMedic: I'm confused here about something. Baltimore actually has police officers which set there and review traffic camera photos, and issue citations based on it? Really?Memphis and the burbs contracted the work out to a third party vendor because they couldn't keep up with it, and we're a lot smaller than Baltimore. Damn.

Farxist Marxist: HenryFnord: constitutional. goddamnitsomuchaccuser. Iz hokay.
mrlewish: 1. Plead not guilty2. Call witnesses3. Police send affidavit stating that officer has been deceased since X date.4. Point out signature date on ticket5. Have judge "throw out" your evidence as irrelevant6. Get convicted anyway7. Appeal, have it upheld8. pay ticket because you can't afford further appeals.9. They make you pay court costs alsois this about right?
dv-ous: And the people don't care because nobody ever fights a ticket by saying, "no I didn't do this thing that you're writing a ticket for," They fight it by saying "but you did your paperwork wrong!"So sympathy for these folks is generally lacking.
BronyMedic: vpb: Well, the signature on my dollar bill is clearly false, since it has Geithner's signature on it and he isn't the Treasure Secretary any more, and it looks like it was printed to me.So that means it's forged right?I'm willing to bet whatever monitor watcher gets paid to do this had a signature stamp from the officer assigned to oversee the operation as a contractor, and they never changed the stamp after he died. I find it hard to believe they were intentionally hand-signing his name to 2000 tickets.
Benevolent Misanthrope: As noted above - non-issue. The contractor has a signature stamp, or more likely a set of stamps, one of them didn't get replaced after the officer died, some shyster contacted a reporter he knows to "blow this story up" and save his client a few bucks.I mean, I hate the idea of red light cameras as much as anyone, but come on. This is just legalistic bullshiat.
