"Things happen for a reason. Someone's going to get the bird after I'm done, and they will love it."

Now if he had done that when the person first cut him off everything would have been fine.

The guy was driving too fast.  He becomes enraged after some perceived slight on the roadway.  Instead of acting like a responsible 65 year old, he decides to terrorize young women less than a third of his age?

Did I get it right?  If anyone should be charged, it's him.  What a douchenozzle.

It wasn't a perceived slight. She cut him off by illegally merging and failing to yield.

She caused damage to his property.

She admitted fault.

/  Yes, she got upset when she woke up and realized somebody was mad at her.  Maybe she even thought for half a second about whether or not she could have done something to cause the upset. How scary.

/ What did you want him to do? Just flip the bird at her?

How about you secure your crap so it won't bounce around the car when you hit the brakes if you actually care about it

If you are so stupid as to transport something of value in such a way that having to slam on the breaks is going to damage it then a moran is you.

Whatever this guy did, he's still better than John Kreese from Karate Kid, who always seemed to think that a middle aged man getting involved in feuds among teenagers was a good idea.

Remember friends, no matter what happened, as a rule it is never a good idea to follow someone after a traffic dust up. He got out of his car at a strange house and walked into the driveway carrying an unknown package, yelling for someone to come out. That kind of behavior tends to trigger a home defense sort of response where I am from.

"Worcester said the other driver admitted she cut O'Donnell off."

She admitted she was in the wrong, and cut the guy off. Not sure if you are serious, or trolling.

/I know a teenage girl that killed 2 people because she did something like this.
//She didn't even lose her license.
///If anything, I am glad the guy scared her. Maybe she will drive safer now.

FTFA: Holden artist Claude O'Donnell says a bird sculpture he made was damaged when he slammed on his breaks to avoid hitting a vehicle that cut him off.

He's lucky it didn't brake in two.

While I hate people that can`t drive worth crap and cut others off without any idea or care that they almost caused an accident, as for as his side goes... I`d say THIS...

Don`t leave your crap lying around to fly around in the car... secure it with a seatbelt, put it on the floor of the back seat, or maybe, put it in a box securely in the trunk.

I don't get the "everything happens for a reason" crap. It's everywhere though.

God/the Goddess/Universe intervened and broke your bird so someone else could have it?
Too bad he/she/it was busy breaking your bird instead of protecting cancer kids
God/Goddess/Universe made me put salt in my coffee last week. Why god, why?

A little of both.  Bottom line is that the guy acted like a farking psychopath.  Cripes, if I followed everyone home that cut me off in traffic...

/bets the guy actually sped the fark up so the girl couldn't merge without appearing to "cut him off"

So he followed her home, so what? No one got hurt, the worst that happened was the girls got spooked. So farking what? The only strange thing about this story is that he didn't press charges or ask for restitution.

I used to get really irritated while driving, but in hindsight I realize those were adult adhd issues. One day it just dawned on me that the extra twenty or thirty seconds tops that I'd save in time really wasn't worth the stress. It was that simple. Now I'll just mess with other people driving like bats out of hell. It IS different. If you tailgaite me and I'm going 7 miles over the speed limit as is, and you don't have on flashing lights indicating an emergency, then my ass is going to go slower. That's what you get, yo. Here's a valuable tip for gauging distance: three seconds. The car in front of you passes something and you pass it three seconds later. When you're stopped at a stop sign, red light, etc then keep a car length between you and the car in front of you just in case you get rear-ended. No sense in other people getting caught up in ignorance. It's also satsfying when a dumbass passes, and you end up right behind them later on. I usually smile and wave. One time a crazy old man that looked surprisingly like my old orthodontist road raged me. He passed me on a double yellow line and threw a baseball at my ride. He tried to speed up and pass me when lanes merged. Nuh-uh. You get behind me. I called the 5-0 on him, and I eventually caught up with him (wasn't trying to). He was turning down the same road I was, and he suddenly stopped the car and got out accusing me of following him. I called the 5-0 again while holding my phone up so he could see. The look was priceless. I'm glad he didn't come to my car, because I carry a six inch razor sharp Buck knife and military grade pepper spray. I would've never used it unless it was a last resort, but he wouldn't have known that.

If you ever find yourself really pissed off while driving just tell yourself it isn't worth it, because more often than not it's simple ignorance on the other person's fault. Not really, but it's nice to tell yourself that.

You don't use your phone while driving and he's old. If he pulled over to call he would have forgotten the license plate number by the time he got someone on the phone.

I almost slammed into a teenage girl who pulled out in front of me on a red because she wanted to stay behind her friend.

This little shiat almost had 3/4 tons of 1973 truck tear through her little honda civic. I made sure she understood it when she goes bee-bopping along into the same parking lot I turn into. Scary? You betcha. Sometimes people don't get how serious things are unless there is fear to motivate them.

Sort of like not knowing the stove is hot or what hot even is until you burn yourself.

Not advocating chasing people down or trying to run them off the road or pull the same shiat they just pulled. I am however willing to approach people and tell them exactly what is happening in no uncertain terms, informing them that if my life is in jeopardy, their life is in jeopardy.

At the very least if you fark up, acknowledge it to the person and it defuses shiat pretty fast. Ignore them or play games or get indignant and start flipping off the person when you were in the wrong and it escalates fast.
