While I was working at the bar we had a drunk driver come through our parking lot. She hit 4 parked cars and almost hit a guy in a wheelchair. The last car she managed to hit straight on, which means she turned 90 degrees.

She had 1/2 of a liter bottle of vodka in her purse and while she was waiting for the police while under the supervision of some off duty detective customers she peed in the office chair without ever changing expression.

Oh and that 1/2 the cars she hit belonged to staff. Np insurance either.

I_Am_Weasel: The way I heard it was that she sideswiped nineteen neat parked cars,clipped off thirteen telephone poles,hit two houses, bruised eight trees,and Blue-Crossed seven people.

I watched a guy driving down the street at about five mph, rims scraping the curb the whole time. Smacked into one of those cast concrete trash cans, smacked a bus stop sign. Just kept going on his way right by me, grinding the curb and crawling along.

You guys have it all wrong. the car took advantage of her in her inebriated state and should have known better. Even though she went through the motions of driving, and knowingly put herself in that situation while drinking (and even dressed the part in a revealing way), she is not responsible for what actually happened. The car *should* have known she didn't *really* want to drive drunk, and so should have not did what it did. Therefore the car is at fault.
Now 9 months later she is going to bear the legal consequences of her actions, and since it is her body, the auto has no legal rights over the legal baby being born, and somehow will be legally responsible for caretaking the issue now in its infancy.
