Someone with real dedication to music and the importance of the arts would go on to help organize concerts. He could also start composing for smaller ensembles. There's a ton of options for someone who is established but who also wants to work outside the SYSTEM but I guess a temper tantrum would work, too. I guess.

I agree that this is a sad situation, but I think there are probably more constructive ways to go about protesting than what this composer is doing.

Maybe this could be performed on tiny violins... seriously, if your orchestra can't exist without full goverment funding, it's just not meant to be.
