The comments are priceless.

These Satanists appear to be the new arm of the Odumbo FL Election Committee. Proof that Odumbo is an anti-Christ. We, the people, need to rise up against atheists and other anti-religion groups to quell the destruction of the fabric that holds this country together. If you come to the United States, you are accepting our country as a new home and should leave your radical ideas behind.

You know, you really like pulling the reverse of that duck picture you so often post, don't you.

"Haha, this law will have unexpected consequences." "Indeed, the people pushing for this may soon rue the consequences, until and unless it is overturned by the courts." "YOU ALL HATE RELIGION!" "Damnit, Bob."

Correct. No governmental organization should be empowered to lead any form of religious observance.

Keep government secular.

I wish this would happen, especially in that state: That a prominent politician, a war-hero, well-beloved in the Republican base, walked up in a podium, for whatever reason you might imagine, but it should be something involving the lines of: Family Values, Religion, guns, etc.

"My fellow state representatives, and to all the people that have bestowed their trust on me. I know we are living on dark times, when our President threatens to tear apart our civic liberties. When the country itself seems to be shifting towards dark, and terrible waters. My friends, I urge you, to pray and take action (people are roused up at these words)! To wake up, and to work for a brighter, and better tomorrow!.

I myself, am a veteran of war, I've seen the horrors of combat, but I have not complained about it! I relished it, every day I woke up and hope that one day, I would hope that, if I died, I would see my father again, and my mother, and my brothers and sisters, and all those that came before, back to the beginning, in the Halls of Valhala!".

Nope, sorry.

The constitution says the "Congress shall make no laws regarding an establishment of religion."

According to 100 years of settled law as decided by the courts, not to mention basic common sense and reading comprehension, in this context, "establishment" is a noun, not a verb, as in "I'm shocked--shocked!--to see there's gambling going on in this establishment."

That's a much broader mandate that prevents congress participating in religion or religious advocacy in any way.

And of course you would be the FIRST one to ever say anything eidiculous on Fark while drunk...ever! Not me, though - just pure nuggets of wisdom coming out of this brain...

nope.

Dude... you can argue that we shouldn't interpret the Constitution this way as much as you like. You're certainly entitled to your opinion. But if you're trying to argue that separation of church and state isn't the well-established status quo in America, you're a freaking idiot. The avalanche of court decisions that you're buried under isn't going anywhere. We all know it's there.

Yes but it's my experience that usually people don't say things that they don't on some level believe, as booze lowers your inhibitions. You don't come off as someone who would make batshiat comments like those just because you were 'faced.

Some arguments with ex-gfs would seem to indicate otherwise, but on the whole I agree with your point. (Although if we're talking about the comments in TFA, oh god no. WACK JOBS.)

Minions? Do they have a union? How expensive are they? I'd love a few minions.

Oh, the religion issue? Religions suck - every last one of 'em. Yeah, even your's and your mom's.
Prayer? It's guided meditation and doesn't really do anything.
So in a nutshell, you're spending time, effort, emotion, a LOT of hot air and, money on a farce that was foisted on you because some woman a couple of thousand years ago was unfaithful and didn't want to get stoned to death for infidelity.
?Mark it zero!"

So, "I regret raping and killing those children" is better than "I regret NOT raping and killing those children"? Got it.

No, his imperfections have reduced you to a lowly animal.

(This thread became an omelette salad some time ago, if you haven't noticed. He was using a line from a Butthole Surfers song, in response to a line that I'd used from the same song. And now, just to make it fun, I've thrown in another line from another B.S. song. And I should probably stop mentioning lines when referencing Butthole Surfers.)

Well then I must include the best song ever:

There's a time to fark and a time to crave,
But the Shah sleeps in Lee Harvey's Grave!
There's a time to shiat and a time for God,
The last shiat that I took was pretty farkin' odd!
There's a time for drugs and a time to be sane,
Jimi Hendrix makes love to Marilyn's remains!
There's a time to live and a time to die,
I smoke Elvis Presley's toenails when I wanna get high!
There's a time to fock and a time to crave,
But the Shah sleeps in Lee Harvey's Grave!
Yeah, I am the ultimate God! I am number one.
Don't even think of looking with your naked eye, motherfarker.
SHUT UP!

Whoa, and to the way back when machine. Don't know about best song ever, but you could do a lot worse for yourself.

nobody needs to demand the separation of church and state. it is already enshrined in the constitution.

Carved in stone, just like the ten commandments.
Same thing only different!

Quite a lot different in several ways.

I never got into the Butthole Surfers. But I do remember when they were beginning to get traction on mainstream radio and all the DJs said B-hole surfers because they were afraid everybody would lose their collective shiat. Good times.

Where do they have those, anyway? The Louvre?

They are in a secure location in the hands of "top men".

You just gave the citation you demanded. Freedom of religion, which also means freedom FROM religion, and the government shall not endorse any one religion.

Why is it so hard for Christians to understand this?

I can't believe people are still arguing the validity of separation of Church and State.

Advocates of theocracy and those who pander to them have always been with us. Scott is deeply unpopular and is running for reelection. He'll do anything. Maybe even a deal with the devil.

Got around to reading the comments. I think someone in there started drinking before I did. Pretty humorous.

Am moving over to The Land of Rape and Honey for now.

That was an ok troll over there. Harvey might bite.

I think I over estimate the intelligence of people to the point of being naive but I really didn't think Scott would even bother running, he's so reviled. Besides which, I figured he's pillaged and farked over this state enough. Guess I was wrong.
