Eh, you dare a douchebag for a while, send him nudes, then dump him for being a douchebag then you should be prepared for it.

Not that posting nudes that were sent to you for your personal enjoyment onto the Internet as revenge is an okay thing to do. It's pretty douchebaggy and petty, especially if you're posting personal information as well.

The solution of course is to not date those kinds of people and then send them nudes, which I admit is easier said than done.

Technology+AW = BAD NEWS.

A friend once repaired cell phones for a local carrier. I can't tell you how many time he had to pull aside the Mom of some 15 year old girl and tell her about what he found on her little snowflake's phone. And this is a small town, so multiply the dozens he encountered by however many millions of other 14-30 year old girls/women with a pretty nice camera and loads of storage space in their purse at all times.

I'll admit, I typically only look at amateur nudie sites.

A) Its more realistic and therefore doesn't damage me the way "traditional" porn does.
B) You never know, you might see someone you know. And that is a special, special feeling.

Just say no girls. Learn to say no to so many things boys want/things you think boys want.

I have pictures of women with whom I have no continuing emotional ties. Those pictures are of said women, nude.

I have no plans to ever put them on the internet or share them around. Simple reasoning: I want to show a history of trustworthiness so that I receive more pictures.

Learn a lesson, guys.

There are excellent reasons why the people who do this should go to prison. Yet if experience is any guide, the lawyers will make terrible arguments that the media will reduce to insipid soundbites. Men on talk shows will use those soundbites to argue with blonde women on those talk shows that there is a certain need to be "fair" or open to free speech. These arguments will be made with long sentences from the men but short sentences from the women in reply. The women will look intelligent but the host of the show will ask for clarification, from the men, when the women speak.

Generally, on the internet, common citizens from around the world will comment on the host and not on the arguments made by either side. Those comments will become the foundation for new internet memes, which will ignore the danger and the damage done to the original victims. Those memes will somehow take the place of critical thinking in the minds (and writing in the webforums) of most people under 40 years old, because they read internet forums exclusively, and not books or poetry or art that actually give articulate and cogent expressions of emotions and real life.

In the end, that means that from now on, everyone will be posting revenge porn about everyone, facebook will allow it to be tagged because it can be analyzed by various computer programs to best calibrate their ads, and Google AdSense can use facial recognition technology to target people as well. We will all get ads targeting new advertising demographics ("ex-bf biatch Bennie Crabtree" will be an Adsense category, and facebook ads for Buttlube will appear everywhere). our society will be more callous and violent toward women as men make porn for the sheer power of posting it, rather than out of love or lust, and we will create a terribly traumatic media environment for ourselves, with no literature or art that can help our children to dismantle revenge porn as a new hybrid literary genre between "reality tv" and plain old "sexual assault." Anyone who references their feelings or actual damage done to a human being will be told that anecdotes are not evidence, and be ridiculed.

Lots of stupid in this story.  The ex-boyfriends are stupid for uploading these photos and other personal information online as a means of "revenge" for getting dumped/the relationship ending, and the women are stupid for sending nude photos of themselves to their boyfriend.  If you want your boyfriend to see your tits, show him yourself, in person.  If you take a picture and e-mail it to him, it's on the Internet forever, even if your relationship ends.  It's just not very bright.

Exactly. Once a picture is either sent to another person privately or posted online anywhere, the sender/poster loses all control of what happens from there on out.

But the posting of the addresses and other private info on these women... everyone associated with that should have their reproductive organs ripped out of them. Slowly.

Whether you sext your goods are not, you're not safe from "revenge porn" or unwanted embarrassment and exposure. Assuming a believable body size can be attached, your FACE is your most identifiable feature and how hard is that for a jilted lover to shop onto some nameless T and A, or some nameless man's nude body- which is then perceived by the world as your body, being that you were a shameless whore who sent your pics around.

The train has left the station. Who knows what technology is right around the corner that makes it even easier to misrepresent your image online.

This isn't anything new, way way back when I was in Jr High a girl had a friend take a nude Polaroid of her, which she then gave to the boy she liked to get his attention (the Mr. Popular of the school). He proceeded to pass that photo around the school until it got to my friend and I, then it was promptly returned to the girl in the photo. That isn't an option in the digital age.. once released, it is out there. be careful with that kind of flirting. Guys can be jerks.. having said that.. posting names and addresses of the girls.. there has to be a special level in hell set aside for that level of jerk. I think the girls should create a site that posts these men's photo's and addresses along with a description of what happened and why they are ex's. Maybe these players would stop getting play, know what I mean?

If the woman was the one who took the photo and then sent it to the boyfriend, then they don't actually own it. The one who takes the picture owns the copyright, so the site can likely be busted for copyright infringement if nothing else. And as we know from RIAA/MPAA lawsuits, that's like $100,000 per infringement.

Facebook pages like "Rabid Feminist" and other pages (some of which are dedicated just to sharing pages they want their sisters to "report") are clearing houses for finding some of the best web pages and Facebook pages out there.

There's plenty of porn on the internet with women who were perfectly willing to have their photos/videos online. And yet, some people - including in this thread - would rather see the revenge porn, posted without the consent of the women involved.
... and I'd bet those same people are the ones who act outraged when feminists say that a lot of porn is about power and dominance over an unwilling victim rather than sex.

Hypocrisy? Sociopathy? Little of column A, little of column B.

The guys could forget about ever dating or even getting hired again. That would be justice.

Some advice, if you want pics, encrypt them. You enter the first half of the password, and have your significant other enter the 2nd half. Nobody has access to the pics unless you both do.

Fark Rye For Many Whores: 23FPB23: You never know, you might see someone you know.

A friend at a different school showed me his "collection" in the early days of the internet. I'm pretty sure he didn't know one of them was a girl at my school who'd been wearing the same clothes until I took them off her, the previous Friday. That was unsettling. And with the setting (her house) and she's clearly unaware (changing to go out) I have to wonder if her brother was perving on her.
[i.imgur.com image 480x480]

Yeah that'd freak me out too. I'm not a fan of the ones that are obviously oblivious to their taking.

Funny thing about this story is the same thing with many such articles. Its about a specific site/case. But, there seems to be thousands upon thousands of sets of nekkid pics out there.

Many of the sites I frequent actually have a pretty obvious link to report/have images removed. I guess a CYA on the part of the site's owners.

This has been going on for many years now, and is exponentially increasing. Eventually we'll all be nekkid on the 'net!

So, I apologize in advance!

I know, there are plenty of situations besides what I said that a person would post a picture as "revenge" for whatever perceived slight, or just be a dick and post them for the fun of it.

I hope someday we can mature and rational as a species and treat individuals with enough respect to not post porn of them online as revenge, regardless of what they have done.

But then again I haven't been on a date in four years, so clearly I am doing something wrong.
