I don't like the mic drop. It's like saying "I have no real skill with words, so I'll just rely on shallow cliches to get my point across."

To me, it has become the hip hop exclamation point. Just like "Yeah Booooy", "Yeah unn huh", "Unh", "ynomean" "motherf♥ckin'" or "f♥ckin'" have become the hip hop commas.

And "Aight" is often the hip hop period.

Baggy pants are the hip hop mating display. Like when a partridge fans out his feathers, only dumber and gayer.
