Somehow doubt it's worse than this movie.

www.ourvalleyevents.com

Willing to argue that this movie is much worse as well.

Valiente: stoli n coke: BronyMedic: That was the WHOLE point of the movie. It was never made to be a hollywood blockbuster or have a storyline worth watching for.

If you want depth and meaning, go watch Lost and be disappointed at how it ends. Or Battlestar Galactica. Or St. Elsewhere.

Yeah, god forbid when people throw down 8 bucks a ticket on a movie, they expect it to be, you know, good. Those snobs.

Jesus, do you live beside the last working drive-in?

I dont see how, I live in Dayton Ohio and there are at least two right here in the area.

My work schedule gives me Fridays off, so I usually hit up the matinees.
Usually, the theaters are me and about 70 old folks.
Still better than Saturday night shows with idiot teenagers. At least the geezers aren't texting through the whole movie.

ItchyMcDoogle: Every once in a while a movie tries to dethrone " Kentucky Fried Movie" as the king of skit movies

They always fail

" Take movie 43 to Detroit!"

KFM? Why does everyone forget "Amazon Women on the Moon"? That movie is far better than Kentucky Fried Movie. Amazon Women had a lot of the top stars of that era. Plus I don't think there was one bad skit in the whole movie.

Mr.Tangent: I have no desire to see this turd but I do get a kick out of pretentious movie reviewers who write a review for an obvious turd like they were expecting an Oscar contender.

You might want to read the review. It touches on your point.

Dear Jerk: Several people in it are on my complete list, so I'm obligated to see it.

Truth be told, most people in this thread will likely be seeing it, since Farkers have a reputation to uphold of seeing every movie ever made.

Toshiro Mifune's Letter Opener: I somehow doubt that.

Sight unseen, I have to believe that there are worse movies than that.

Bad comedies are probably the worst kind of movies. It can be fun to see a bad drama that didn't work, a bad horror movie that didn't work, or a bad romance that didn't work... but a bad comedy that doesn't work is just awful since it doesn't get saved by the unintentional comedy.

darkedgefan: No, no, no, no. I saw this movie last night and I could not stop laughing from start to end! I don't understand why it is getting such negative reviews all over the place. What is wrong with these critics? Have they all lost thier sense of humor?
I am just so pissed that this movie will make such little money and be out of theaters soon. I saw it last night and then said, This moives deserves to earn 200 million this weekend. But it won't.
Just stay past the credits for the final short. I did not want this movie to end.
I have seen a lot of comedy in my 33 years on this earth and this is some of the best.

Me too! I have been quoting it all day! "I've got a maxi pad on a stick!" And "you're black and they're white. You could try 3 percent." Though the fiancée Leo's gagging thinking about the cat and the hairbrush.

DS1970: I love it. In a few weeks or so I'll rent (or check out) "Ted" for a pittance, get a much more enjoyable viewing experience...

Clearly you are a man of refined taste. Try not to trip on the bar now that you've raised it a full half inch.

I did see Movie 43 this weekend and need to clarify that my expectations were low before buying the ticket. The initial appeal was the idea of these very serious actors agreeing to appear in a Wayons-esque "comedy". There were a few funny moments but most of the time I was asking myself "WTF am I watching?"

This movie makes PootieTang or UHF look like The Shawshank Redemption.

Oh and don't get too excited over some Halle Berry T&A. Even that in the movie is overly fake for "comedic" effect.

Day by Day Mike Judge's Idiocracy is looking more and more like a documentary than a satire.

FriarReb98: Examples, please?

Bucky Larson: Born to Be a Star comes to mind, as do many MSTed offerings.

That's the thing with bad movies. They're out there, you just gotta dig for them.

Yeah, like Bill Corbett said at the 20th Anniversary MST3K panel, it's hard to riff/enjoy a bad comedy, because all you're saying is: "That's not funny!!!"

Toshiro Mifune's Letter Opener: That's the thing with bad good movies (Not to mention music makers. And tv shows. And plays. And books. And people.) They're out there, you just gotta dig for them.

I just got home from watching it and I liked it. There were some parts that not as funny as others but it was worth the price of admission. I've seen worse.

I often wonder with the Idiocracy "theory", that even someone from like 1952 being "frozen" until 2012... while they would be amazed by some of the technology advances (although, wondering about "we don't have flying cars yet?" types of things they were "promised" back in the 50s, etc), I think many would have an "Idiocracy" type reaction to the reality TV and "obscene to obscenities sake" media that is prevalent now.

OK...seriously, so this is NOT just another thread talking about how bad Movie 43 is?

So many horrible films to choose from. Is Movie 43 REALLY worse than all of these?!?!?

If so, I may HAVE to see it.

Dog Welder: This movie looks bad and anybody who sees it should feel bad.

Seriously...the previews don't even appear to be funny, and those are the BEST scenes.

I thought the same thing. When they can't find enough good scenes to make just a TRAILER look funny you know you are in trouble.
