When I was in HS, one of the teachers was married to a former student. He met her when she was 17-18 and he was a new teacher at 22. Probably happened in the 1970s given his age at the time. Of course back then people weren't shocked at a four year age difference. By the time I was in high school it was a curiosity, now in the 21st century it's crime.
