The theme song to the video started to sound like the Transformers were coming, after further listening... I guess we'll have to deal with the Go-Bots instead :( yay go-bots... I guess... I think... The cartoon sucked...

That was farking awesome. Thanks for sharing that. Love the stars. Wish I could see aurora's from where I am, but... damn.

I feel small and insignificant now. This is a good thing.

Some of the cloud movement with the starfield rotation made you think you were in a giant planetary rocketship.

Oh, wait, we kinda are. ; )

I've been in the Seattle/Everett area for 6 years, it doesn't surprise me that it took a year to get 3 minutes of video of the stars.

It's really cool how at the end of the video (near the three minute mark) the big dipper strolls through the screen and all of the other stars are missing!

/so many stars!

Not Mt Washington? GFY, hippy.

The segment around 1:50 was awesome.

Do you use a single exposure for the individual frames, or are you doing some HDR processing? I was trying to get a shot of the moon wreathed in clouds a couple of nights ago. You don't realize how bright the moon is until you try to shoot it without blowing out the rest of the shot. I failed.

Wonderful way to prove the existence of the Creator of All, Zoroaster. His handiwork, and your expression of it, as simply divine.

Hail Zarathustra!

Thanks, and they are all single exposures. I do sometimes use a grad filter in Lightroom post processing.

As far as shooting with the moon goes, its tricky as hell. But I try and shoot it darker, then bring out the rest in post processing. I find it easier to recover dark areas than blownout highlights.

I've done that hike up to park butte lookout at least a dozen times, including during the night. Amazing to see the view captured so well with the night sky. So very cool.

Really awesome shots. I'm really curious on how he gets the exposure right. Especially the shots showing stars and the sun at the same time.

I've made some pretty cool shots myself, but nothing with changing conditions like that.

Good job Subby! I hope you have something planned if comet ISON becomes the spectacle of the year.

Very, very well done.

I've been tinkering with timelapse for a while, but I'm hindered by living where there's no majestic scenery, and there's a lot of light pollution. I'm leaning towards doing something more urban/industrial. Hopefully this year will be the year I get off my butt and make something cool.
