HartRend: Considering the number of states attempting to succeed from the USsA right now, I don't think I'm the only one with this opinion of the Fed/SCOTUS

Well, yes. I'm pretty sure all 50 states are trying to succeed.

// I think the word you were looking for was "secede".
/// And, zero is a number.
//// All zero states trying to secede right now proves your point.

HartRend: Just_a_Bear: Meh, it only violates the Constitution, no big deal.

The federal reserve violates the constitution.
The constitutions guarantees the right of congress to print and coin money / set standards and weights.
Congress has given up their right to the Fed, and thus the taxation without representation.

Sorry Dr. Paul, delgation of powers does not work that way.  Every agency in the government is executing a power reserved to Congress which they then , by law, delegate to an executive agency. The fed is no different

CheekyMonkey: DarkVader: I have WAY too many friends who are prepping for the whole "shiat hits the fan" concept, as if the entire country is about to imminently dissolve into a state of complete anarchy approaching Somalia. They're stockpiling food, weapons, and ammunition. I've been ridiculed because I don't have thousands of rounds of ammo for dozens of guns handy (and I'm not anti-gun, and I just might have some high-capacity magazines for the guns I might happen to already own) (or might not, not actually saying). Sure, shooting is fun, and it's more fun if you don't have to constantly reload.

I'm "prepping" by learning to grow my own food, and do woodworking & metalworking with hand tools. If the shiat never hits the fan, at least I have some enjoyable hobbies & fresh veggies, and not a pile of crappy food I don't want to eat & a bunch of guns and ammo I'll never use.

I'm prepping the same way, including the recent purchase of a farm in the golden hills of California to supply me with endless wood. (Sorta like Ms. Hendricks, amirite?) But anyway, it's the urban lifestyle that does the damage the urbanites always decry. What's up with that?

HartRend: CheekyMonkey: HartRend: grimlock1972: violation of the constitution plain and simple. Repubs if you don't want the federal reserve system to crash then quit putting party ahead of country and do what needs to be done.

It has already crashed. We are still propping it up.

It is not an IF, it is a when.

Yes, and the roof of my house fell down already, but the walls are still propping it up.

Do you see any new jobs? How are things where you are.
Where I am at, things are shiatty. People are homeless living on the street begging for change.

Anybody who can look out their window, and say to themselves, damn things are better today than they were yesterday, is probably blind.

Nonsense. Someone up-thread already demonstrated that gas prices are down thanks to stable inflation.

On the good side, every bill of paper money will be personally signed by the State Treasurer!

HartRend: nekulor: HartRend: nekulor: HartRend: nekulor: HartRend: nekulor: HartRend: doyner: HartRend: So because 3 people interpreted it this way

WAT?

SCOTUS = Very small population (9 or so)

America = Not so small population

Could it be that these few individuals may have a personal interest in ensuring the existence of the Federal Reserve?

Could it be that these individuals are willing to sell out the rest of us for an unfathomable amount of money?

Could it be that your government doesn't give two shiats about you?

What scale is harder to tip, 300 + Million Americans, or 9 assholes who think they know it all?

You sound like my Bible-thumping, Alex Jones-loving cousin. He's a goddamn idiot.

Yea fark those bible people, they're always up to no good!

The God-botherer crowd, that thinks the world is 6000 years old and evolution is a lie? Yea, they are. They're Luddites, and civilization would be better off without them.

Maybe we should march them in to chambers, that we fill with gas, and eliminate them from the gene pool.

I doubt anybody has tried that before.

Oh boy, somebody Godwinned the thread. You know, for the entertainment value alone, I'm going to argue, yes. Yes we should. They're holding us back as a species.

You couldn't kill anybody, I can tell from here.
The first time you squeeze the button, with a face on the other side of your front sight post, you puke a little in your mouth.

Go fight in the middle east, and then come back and tell me you want to murder for pleasure.

I'm sure I could, I am quite familiar with rifle and shotgun, but I wouldn't do it willingly.

I was making a point: Nazi arguments are retarded because no one would resort to that in any reasonable circumstance. You're building strawmen in this thread faster than anyone can tear them down, and you're doing it because you suck at arguing. Your points aren't real points, they're vague conspiracy theories that are only supported by a fringe group of people, which is convenient, bec ...

Well, you didn't address my point, but I suppose hoping for that would be ambitious.

In any case, I wish you luck, because it seems like you live in an awful, terrifying world that you've completely constructed in your mind.

flagrante: Stinkyy: whistleridge: Dear Republicans:

So long as you keep incredibly stupid shiat like this up, please stop getting outraged when the rest of us tell you that you don't understand how money works. Because clearly, you don't. And this is Exhibit #1 as to why you shouldn't be allowed control of a $10 piggybank, much less a state or national economy.

Thanks,

Those of us who DO understand how money works

The 'budget deficit'/GDP ratio was at about 16% for Bush's last budget. But yeah, it's all B.O.'s fault.

You can go to their website at federalreserve.GOV and cure yourself of a few of the more laughable aspects of your internet education.

Besides the Supreme Court decides what is and isn't constitutional, not Alex Jones' fan club.

What concerns me more is that the badge has two arrows being fired from one bow. That doesn't seem practical.

Also, why a bow and arrows? Would correcting someone's grammar be a double Cupid? I would have assumed a vise, since usually a grammar cop in our Aristotelian, catch-as-can English is just breaking your balls.

KrispyKritter: Superjew: I would give every penny I own for required psychological examinations as a prerequisite for holding public office.

I can't support this enough; it is way overdue. I too would honestly give up all my possessions to see this in effect, gladly. I think many people are confident the bulk of those in power in WashDC are seriously flawed individuals in need of medication, counseling and perhaps institution living. And you bet you favorite book in the bookcase it's even worse for those in military and law enforcement.

That's why politicians (the rich & powerful) have themselves surrounded by 5 layers of gun toting henchmen ready willing and able to kill 'for the cause'. Those in power are truly horrible people that should be put down like rabid raccoons. Any person that wants to lord over others and make others bend to their will and demands is seriously twisted.

While you are at that, test them for knowledge of history and civics too. More and more of them are willing to prove they don't have a working knowledge of our past or present and that is disturbing. Nevermind partisan technodrama, just the facts, they don't know them.

uh.... when the federal reserve crashes it'll just be another business down the hole.

Congress will reclaim the authority to print money and the mint isn't going anywhere.

It'll be a non-event for almost everybody in the US.

Lord Dimwit: Constitutionally, it can only be gold or silver. If they want to do that, go ahead.

The constitution says they cannot coin money (at all) or make anything but gold or silver a tender of debt. I have no idea what the difference is.

Anyway I'm looking forward to the 2016 Republican primary debates on freemasonry and bimetallism.

That's a limitation on states, not feds. The feds coined copper in the 1700s when the people that wrote the constitution were in charge. I think they were far more aware of their own intentions than you are.

They could issue transferable, metal-backed bonds. That would have the same effect for the state and still be constitutional.
