In that case, is it safe to say "friendships" are most possible between people who are A) not attracted to each other and B) always sober?

How many friends do you have that are UGLY? male or female

BS. My best friend of 22 years is a female (and I'm a guy). She is attractive, but never once did either of us have any romantic thoughts about each other at all. And I've known her since I was 15, so even through my awkward teenage years- not once.

I've valued the fact that I could go to her for advice on things that my guy friends wouldn't be good for.

'men are much more likely to think the "relationship could lead to romantic feelings." '

From an evolutionary point of view -what benefit does it do them to think otherwise? Yes, all the attractive women in the office are 'secretly' in love with you because... why not?

On the other hand, I think that I was much more likely to think like this when I was younger and that it cools off as you realize that getting involved with any of those loopy half-witted chicks isn't worth the drama.

If you are friends with a member of the opposite sex and you don't have some sort of attraction to them, either A) you grew up with them to the extent that they are like a sybling, B) They are unattractive and not attractive, or C) you are more interested in your own gender.

Monkey sex in the back of a Volkswagen is not romantic, but if you were 15 and looking at a girl who was unrelated to you and never once thought about it, then she is an uggo or you are attracted to men.

//My guess is that you had those feelings at first, but suppressed them long enough that you started looking at her as a sister. 20 years later, you have just forgotten that you ever considered what she would look like without clothes.
