It's a downloadable and printable list of over 500 different prop bets for the Super Bowl. Pure awesomeness.

I always liked the old "first to score will not win" prop.

The over/under for tackles and assists for Ray Lewis is 11.5. He had 14 last week and 17 the week before.

2013-01-25 01:17:11 PM
Over/under for stabbings while Ray Lewis is on the field set at 2.5.

Over/under for how many new tattoos Kaepernick gets during the game set at 4.5.

Someone tell me what the + or - values mean.

Example: Last scoring play of the game: Touchdown -175 Field Goal/Safety +145

What are the odds that Beyonce will lipsync the whole halftime show?

Fizpez: Someone tell me what the + or - values mean.

Those are the payouts for the bet.
Say if you bet $10 on the field goal/Safety the payout is $14.50 (plus your $10 bucks back)
if you bet $10 on the touchdown the payout is going to be about $5.75 (plus your $10 bucks back)

Basically the bookies think that there is a better chance that the last score will be a TD, hence the lower payout.

/bookies always win.

How long will it take Alicia Keys to sing the US National Anthem?Over/Under 2 minutes 15 seconds

THis is always one of my favorite bets.

The are the odds. -175 means that you have to bet $175 to win $100. +145 means that you have to bet $100 to win $145. You can bet any amount (as low as $1), but it's easier to look at it in amounts of $100.

I'm betting $10,000 that the Ravens win by exactly 41 points. 2,500 to 1 odds.

That's $25 million. It's as good as in the bank.

Do casinos really take action on all of these prop bets? And if so, does are there any kind of prohibitions on "insider trading"? Someone who sat in on Alicia Keys's rehearsals, or someone who knows Jay Z's comings and goings, or someone who has control over where the TV camera goes, etc. etc., can make a shiatload of money from this.

The Randy Moss bets are intriguing.

Also, the pick'em on Kaepernick rushing for more yards than Steve Young did in his Super Bowl (49 yards) seems too good to be true.

They saved the best for last:

CROSS SPORT MATCHUPS - What will be higher?
Dwight Howard Free Throw % Feb 3rd vs. Detroit Pick
Joe Flacco Completion % Super Bowl XLVII Pick

This one's not for greenhorns.

I lost $10,000 betting that the 49ers would beat the Bronco's by 46 points in Super Bowl 24.

/ok, not really

If you were a network insider, you could clean up on a lot of those Beyonce bets.

hulk hogan meat shoes: Over/under for stabbings while Ray Lewis is on the field set at 2.5.

Are those for stabbings which would occur on the field or off the field...cause that number's awfully high for stabbings which would occur off the field while he is playing.

Yeah it would seem to me that Byonce's costume has already been chosen - just need to have the right connection.

CSB coming

My colleague ran into Anton Ferdinand (or was it Rio?) a week before his match involving another player he had a spat with. One of the big questions ( and therefore bets at the bookies) was if they would shake hands. The colleague asked Ferdinand what he was going to do and Ferdinand sad he wouldn't shake hands. They didnt shake hands. I forgot to bet on it though!

/CSB

SUPER BOWL XLVII SPECIALS - How many times will Jack Harbaugh be shown on TV during the game?Over 1.5 (-140) (5/7)
Under 1.5 (EVEN) (1/1)

Is this a joke? There is no way they only show Jack Harbaugh once or not at all. Bang the over - bang it haaaaaaaaard.

The Singing Bush: during the game

During the game is key, here. I've seen these over bets surprisingly fail.

These are from bovada.com; f/k/a bodog.com, which is an offshore site. Usually these prop bets (like the ones about the national anthem) have a cap of $50, just to prevent that sort of thing.

This would have been good last weekend.

This same site used to be called Bodog. They lost a bunch of money one year when they offered bets on Survivor and people who knew the result ahead of broadcast made winning bets on it.

In Vegas you can't bet on bets where the outcome might be known ahead of time. Offshore they will let you and yes the limits are small and yes they will confiscate your winnings if they think you took advantage of them.

You know, I like that bet too, mainly because official scorekeepers frequently make stuff up when crediting tackles. If they don't see what happened, they'll just give it to the high-profile middle linebacker who was somewhere in the vicinity of the play. And, I'm guessing, even more so when the aforementioned middle linebacker happens to be one of the bigger storylines of the game.
