You can play anything with a wah-wah pedal.

Huh, that was better than I thought it would be

Hmm, I think modifying the sound of the trombone so much that it sounds like a distorted guitar is cheating a little. Still pretty good.

Sounds like it was arranged by James Pankow (Chicago's Trombone and Musical Director).

They all have really good technique.

I didn't know that Charlie Brown's teacher liked to sing.

That's kind of how a synth works.  It's inclusive as long as you can attach it.

Bonerama from New Orleans was blasting out Edgar Winter, Led Zeppelin and The Allman Brothers before these kids could even reach seventh position.

Not bad, but I prefer GWAR's version

bwahaha, from now on I'll just have to assume that Kansas is doing a cover of the GWAR classic, Carry On Wayward Son.

It looks like those guys all go to North Texas State. That school has produce some great musicians.

I sure didn't expect to listen to the whole thing when I saw the length, but damned if I didn't listen twice and save it for later.

If you like that, you might search for "London Trombone Sound". All trombone + percussion ( fun fact: the pink panther chime was created by banging mouthpieces).
I think they had alto to contra-bass trombones for it.

Beginning made me think of when Carson would come out of a commercial and have Doc and the band playing in the background.

I don't think Subby knows what quartet means (and neither do the guys in this video).

A trombone quartet is four trombones. I see four trombones. It is not uncommon for various trios, quartets, quintets, etc. to augment their personnel for special performances. Such as adding a rhythm section to play a rock tune.

Technically, it would be called a "trombone ensemble" if they always played with the rhythm section, but these guys don't.
