I just watched Snow White and the Huntsman. She wasn't that had. She's no Milla Jovovich in the ass kicking dept but she looks like she got off whatever downers they were feeding her during Twilight.

I'd awkwardly paw at her.

2013-01-25 11:39:52 AM
She can't act. And from the clip, she also can't dance.
Still has a cuteness to her, and I'd be more then happy to disappoint her in all the ways possible in 30 seconds.

In the clip Craig showed, she's not a very good dancer, but I love that Dizzy & Bird version of Salt Peanuts.

She was pretty good in Into the Wild and Adventureland and, even though the movie was disappointing, I kinda liked her in On the Road (though her Marylou is a tad flatter than written in the original novel)

It's like she's embarrased by her lower teeth. She pulls her lower lip over them so you have this "duh" look when her mouth is wide open (and it's wide open a lot).

/Honey, if you're gonna leave your lip open like that, you should swallow a bug zapper.

Lots of awkward pauses? That's easy, with Craig. He'll give you all the rope you need to hang yourself, and make fun of you for doing so.

I'd say the interviewer was worse than the interviewee, but then I only watched two minutes. At least it wasn't Conan. He'd just talk about himself.

Its like she bases her entire demeanor and conduct on trying to be difficult and edgy. Even her greeting to the host was off-kilter.... Girl, you're in the entertainment industry... If you don't like it, leave. Otherwise, you need to hire one of those coaches who puts books on your head and tells you to walk with grace... (i don't know what they're called, but she needs one).

She is just very literal and not very witty. I think she is actually smart though, just awkward. That being said, there is something about her that drives me nuts. I want to bang her so bad lol. I love that awkwardness combined with those legs and skin tone. Yowza

I feel kinda bad for her, she's clearly very introverted, and doesn't like doing any late shows.

Barely acquainted with any of them. But I understand that they are all supposed to be comedians. Sarah Silverman, however, seems like a nasty bithc, and I can see that coming out of her mouth easily. Is she the one who sticks her finger up her ass, sniffs it, and thinks that's funny? No? Well, she should.

I think it's "funny" that a bunch of introverted weirdos like the denizens of Fark would have a problem with a young woman who probably acts just like they do in public. I think you should all go on a talk show, be interviewed, and let us critique how well you handle being asked personal questions in front of a world-wide audience.

Godsdammit! I only looked at it because I read it as Kristin Bell! I would suck a fart out of that woman's ass and hold it like a bong hit.

Her interview on the Daily Show was painful to watch. Every time Jon asked her a question, he ended up finishing her answers because she was so inarticulate and slow to respond.

We don't get paid $20mill/film.

I have no problem with her as an actress or a talk show guest. As for her performance in Twilight, I often blame the director as much if not more than the actor, especially if they're good in other things. George Clooney for example. There's no reason in the world why he couldn't have been a kick ass Batman. But he well, wasn't. I wouldn't say he was 100% blameless but he had a shiatty script and a shiatty director.

Even Hayden Christenson was good in a couple movies.

I dunno. I pretty much really started hating her after her Graham Norton interview. She complains about being offered work without having to work for it and work that is beneath her. Chris Rock tried to joke off that and she looked like she wanted to punch him. So - too serious, too high of an opinion of her abilities and unable to laugh at herself.

She sucks.

Notice the rocking... she is completely overwhelmed
She is smart, witty, slightly androgynous, awkward, socially uncomfortable, because, in my opinion - she is an aspie

Not that it matters

I thought the whole point of Bella in the Twilight crap was for her to be a blank canvas as a character, so that she could be easily relatable to your average teen. Or something.

So yeah, an emotionless lip biter kinda works in that case.

She can't act.
She can't sing.
She can't dance.
She's not very bright.

But other than that, she's got a lot going for her as an actress.

2013-01-25 02:00:01 PM
Huh, I thought she came off pretty likable. She was set up with absolutely nothing to possibly talk about, and was good spirited about it. Maybe not quite Tom Hanks late night awesomeness, but this was a dumb interview and she did as good as could be expected from someone who was basically a wall for Craig to bounce jokes off of.

I enjoyed it.

That is a pretty blanket statement. I'm a part of an engineering team and almost all of us are very literal and quite smart thanks. Social smarts and intelligence aren't the same thing.

Ok, I didn't account for the socially autistic. Stewart, meanwhile, is a moron for an engineer, an actress, and a human being.

You guys are such amateurs. She's stoned off her ass. She's crazy high during that interview, why she can't finish her sentences and goes into weird rambles that make no sense, why she keeps saying 'man' and 'dude.' She's high as hell

2013-01-25 03:02:43 PM
It's funny, I saw her on The Daily Show a few weeks ago (3 days after this interview, apparently), expecting this kind of detached loopy appearance, but she came out and seemed calm, engaged, and really into talking with Jon. She went into how On The Road was the first book that really spoke to her (and it didn't sound like promo BS to me), and how making this film was so different from her other work.

Anyway, she just seems uncomfortable working with such a gregarious character as Craig can be (especially compared to Kristen Bell's appearances, given her bubbly personality (sloths notwithstanding)), she's rocking back and forth 2 questions in, and doesn't seem at ease. I can't link to Comedy Central's clips from here, but her interview on TDS is a whole other person.

/I'd never even seen her speak before that, but was primed by all the Bella-hate

I've never heard of it except on Fark, so I wouldn't know if it's popular or not. It's still a rude thing to say, by any character, and I'd think it would be out of place unless the show is really, really trying to go for the dick joke crowd. I'm sure some of you like that stuff though.

Mugato: We don't get paid $20mill/film.

Here's the thing, though--I'm sure that most of us are bad at some aspects of our job. Probably a lot of us are bad at public speaking. That's usually fine--it's understood that we can't be good at everything. We do our best. So you can't say, "well, she's an actress, that's part of her job and she should excel at it." Obviously she doesn't, and she probably didn't go into acting so that she could appear on talk shows and make witty banter.

I'm very introverted myself, and I can't imagine the hell of going on a talk show and trying to be witty and spontaneous in front of millions of people--even if the chat is pre-planned, which I guess a lot of them are. So she's not good at it--why is this such a killer? If she were not a young, pretty woman, I have a feeling she wouldn't be judged so harshly. A middle-aged actor who sucks at witty banter and going on talk shows wouldn't be judged like that. They just don't go on them, or they go on them and suck, and everybody shrugs their shoulders and says, 'Obviously he doesn't like to do interviews'. She has to, and since she's a young gal, she's supposed to be flirty and smiling and engaging. And she's no Taylor Swift. Would you all like her better if she faked like she was?

This. Combined with reports of her doing it every single day on and off set, as well as watching 45 seconds of the interview, this was my immediate conclusion as well.

If you are someone who smokes daily/habitually, you become psychologically dependent on it to the extent that you feel like you'll be "on edge" if you don't smoke before an activity that would create feelings of anxiety.

My only point of contention is that she's "high." She looks and sounds more stoned than high, and anyone who knows what they're talking about is aware of the distinction between the two.
