Novart: Apparently all the subQ fluids and pills haven't done much good for my cat. His kidneys are only getting worse. Best case scenario he has 6-12 months to live. Poor kitty :( Just have to make sure he gets the most comfort he can get.
On a related note, what do people use to upload pictures these days?

Assuming your cat has CRF, drop me an email (my login @ gmail dot com). I have a few suggestions that might help, I don't want to clutter up the thread.

I use Flickr.  I love it.  Very simple & the app works great so I can easily upload pics from the phone (it even lets me put them into categories/sets & label things before uploading).  I'm not sure whether you can actually do anything more than host pics and videos... I haven't screwed around with it that much.  In the past I've used roflbot for captioning & it'll save directly into your Flickr account.  For some reason, I can't always see it when people post pics from Photobucket, which is kinda frustrating...

Gahhhh! No TC!

I'm eating ham and he's been sneaking in on the plate like its a fluttering bird!

This is the same cat who ran under the bed with a medium rare steak. He doesn't want no cheezburger, he wants MOMS STEAK (Ham tonight)! Hot sauce be damned!

I have a bit of sad news but a bit of happy news as well to report about our cat Reecee. Reecee passed away last month a couple days before Christmas. We had thought that we were going to have a bit of a kitty friend break until we went to adopt any new furry friends. Mainly because we were still in shock over her death (one day she was there and the next we woke up without her).
i36.photobucket.com
R.I.P Reecee We miss you!

But we got a call from my husband's mom a a few weeks into this month saying that his Aunt had a few kittens who needed a good home. She knew we needed a push I guess and his Aunt had too many cats she had to take care of. So, long story short we are now the proud owners/family (or slaves lol) of two adorable kittens named Kitkat (boy) and Snickers (girl) both are black with a few white spots underneath. Soon after adopting these two Snickers had problems and had to be taken to the vet after a brief stay there she came home and has been running around getting into all kinds of trouble with her brother.

gremlin1: I went out to do some shoveling and take some pictures of Jack in the snow.
[i877.photobucket.com image 458x344]
I slipped on the steps and fell down and banged up my left knee and ankle while the camera was running.
[i877.photobucket.com image 458x344]
Jack came running over to see if I was alright.
[i877.photobucket.com image 458x344]
I am now stretched out on the couch with my knee and ankle wrapped with frozen peas on my ankle and mixed vegetable on my knee.
Gremie is keeping on eye on me just in case his dish gets empty.

You need to email Sherpa18 his cat has CRF and he is having good luck with an alternative med. My folks cat is doing well with a blood pressure meds and using the Royal Canin foods..Mom says kitteh eats like crazy with this fud. And you know, we have been there. The thing that hurts the most is not being able to control it, you know? But, at least your kitteh will know a loving home, until the end of it's days. What more could any kitteh want?

Hubby and I are on a road trip - we are in Tuckertown, NJ. Drove 2.5 hours to go to a store (that we haven't found yet). Yes, we're crazy!

Must be a pretty special store!!! Does it involve "marital aids" of any sort???? Just wonderin'. :D

It was a store for "vapers" - people who use e- cigarettes instead of the real things. We got some new e-juices and just had fun hanging out with sime NJ rednecks. Too bad it's so far from home.

I tried that for a while...was hoping to cut down on smoking.  Hated it!  Didn't at all help me to not want a cigarette.  I guess it just wasn't close enough to the real thing.  85.00 not well spent.

Thanks! Butter, the white one, is our baby. We got her from St Louis Boxer Rescue 8 years ago. She is deaf but she doesn't let that stop her. We are fostering Caesar for the same rescue group. We also have another dog we adopted from St Louis boxer rescue a few years ago. She is a boxer/pit mix and her picture (sniffing the goggie cookies I made them yesterday) is below. Also including a pic of Racer and Coop so they don't get jealous. This is a rare scene. They NEVER sleep together like that so there was no way I was going to disturb them to make the bed...

While I enjoy my wine, I also enjoy a good a good brew. In Michigan, it's lighthouse ale, produced by the Cheboygan Brewing Company. Excellent on tap. Bass Pale ale, served in a frosty glass..so good on a hot day. And..I really like Yuengling Light as a nice tasting lower cal beer. Good body, nice taste.

Eli thinks its all terrible, and would rather drink out of the upstairs bathroom faucet. "so fresh, so cold"!

Went out this morning to let Fred out of his 'cave'.. the utility room.. I have got to get him on some low - cal dry food...he is getting fat.. or get a bigger pet door.. the ground was wet with melting snow and I didn't want him flopping down for rubs, so I picked him up and sorta cradled him in my arms.. usually this results in serious growls and struggles.. this time he relaxed and the purring commenced.. water cooled motor and all... last night it took less than a minute for him to cover the yard with footprints.. you could hear him romping around.. he doesn't range around anymore..  so he is not getting as much exercise.. and he is getting regular meals.. I have the RFID chip deal worked out.. there will be a 'caged' area in the basement that he will have access to, but will prevent any issues between him and Tailer (FelLuke carrier).. the access door can only be opened if he is in proximity with the receiver.. and once he is in, the door will only open 'out'...  still have some testing to do.. the water was frozen in his bowl last night in the utility room, but he was major comfy in his bed....i.imgur.com
Need to get a pic of him coming out the pet door....

matterri: I don't remember if you all remember me but I posted two weeks ago about my mom's cat, Gracie. Gracie developed panacreatitis in the past month and was not responding to treatment. She was at the point where she was not eating or drinking and was so thin. My mom decided that she needed to take Gracie to the vet. Gracie crossed the Rainbow Bridge around 11am this morning. Anyway, if you all could pass along some good thoughts, it would mean a lot to her.

Here is a picture of Gracie from a few years ago.

Thanks,

I've been using them for over three years. It takes determination and experimentation at first.
The trick is finding the combination that gives you consistency with each drag. You need a good e-cig and the right juice. If you can find what works for you then you can wean easily yourself off of cigarettes (if I could do it anyone can.)

BlueCig and anything you see in a mall kiosk is garbage. In my experience, the more it looks like a real cig the less likely it is to be any good.

It's easiest to get a good one off the web. I currently use an EGO 510 Tornado with a low nicotine sweet tobacco flavor. Perfect hit every time. EIP if you want some help. Trust me, with a little effort up front your lungs and pocket book will thank you.

Add another to the list. Putting stuff on the wipers makes you look obvious that you are doing something. Put some brake fluid in a squirt bottle and walk down the side of the truck and squirt as you go. It will absorb in and disappear. Some time will pass and the paint will start to come off in sheets days later.

I think the white boy was just hoping you would mail him the left-over wings that came with the pizza. :o)  And while most of you know that Dragon loves cheese, it's story time!

A week or two ago, I went grocery shopping (at a store that I really try to avoid, due to the horrendous parking situation, but they have fantastic sales) and I was just approaching my car and the woman parked next to me closed her trunk and literally kicked her cart into the back of my car - I was all "what is your problem?" and she started screaming at me as she drove off. Leaving one grocery bag in that undercarriage part of the cart, which I naturally appropriated. Containing one large bag of Cheeze Doodles®. Now I'm not really a snack/chip person, but I did not want them to go to waste, so I opened them and the white boy absolutely lost his mind. I guess that means he is now the poster boy for the quintessential farker.
