I use them for soup....waste not want not! :)

Right now my kitchen is a disaster. Hubby is installing the next base cabinet, which is a set of drawers. This goes next to the stove..so the stove has been disconnected, moved out of the way, and I have no clue how I am going to make dinner tonight...

And Eli is hiding upstairs..too much noise and excitement!

I was tempted tonight. It's quite a bit warmer today. 18 degrees F! And the windchill is only 6..:)

Actually going to do a boxed meal in the microwave, fresh salad, bread and a veggie.

I need this - something warm and fuzzy and heartwarming. This afternoon, I caught my piece of shiat next door neighbor kicking his cats because they left paw prints on his F-350 Lackofpeener-mobile.

/Called the cops.
//They laughed at me over the phone.
///Might be time to oil the F-350 windshield.

As a black-belt, professional troublemaker, may I recommend a bead of this applied along the
leading edge of the windshield blades. Amazingly impossible to remove.
Almost makes buying a new Lackofpeener-mobile the only practical solution.

Or...if you want to be less destructive and drive him nuts, just pour 1/2 quart of oil under his truck every other day.
We did this to a co-worker after he got his car out of the shop. He took it back to the shop three or four times before he caught us. His mechanic thought is was a great prank...him, not so much.
[i211.photobucket.com image 600x476]

I've heard of all kinds of things to do to cars, but that's funny, expensive, annoying and really doesn't do damage. One of the mild pranks I liked was to get in someones car and turn everything on, the radio volume to full blast, heat blower on high, wipers on.

When I was younger we did more damage. We put valve grinding compound in gas tanks, super glue in door key holes or ignition so the key wouldn't go in. Not an inexpensive repair.

One time we masking taped an car until it was completely covered. Then laughed our butts off watching the guy try to get in his car in the morning, in the pouring rain when he had to go to work.

Dead fish on the motor or even better, cut up and dropped down the defroster. Canned mackerel or sardines smells pretty nasty after a while. Fish under the backseat  in the summertime, best done while someone is at work and the car sits out in the hot sun all day.

Rearranging the spark plug wires could easily ruin someone's day. We did this to a guy who was cheating on his wife and he couldn't move the car ...

When I was in high school, I *ahem* had a friend who used to go around the school parking lot with a can of sardines looking for unlocked cars...

I switched the "language" to Japanese...I really hope my boss's wife will go over there to mix paint for someone, and be all WTF????? I know she will panic, because she won't know how to change it back. But, I DID tell another person how to fix it, so it won't be too bad. I just like to f*ck with her once in a while.....

My, my, my...
Who's a little nerd? Why *you're* a little nerd!
Yes you are!
Yes you are!!!

This is easy to do if you have an older HP that you can configure via telnet. We'd do stuff similar to this on random printers at work, then sit and wait for the call.
[i211.photobucket.com image 525x700]
I imagine this trick exists on other printers as well. Nobody *ever* resets the admin password, so access is a no brainer.

That's better than mine. I just changed the paper out message on one of them to "Hello, Clarice."

Another good one is changing somebody's keyboard layout to Dvorak.

/actually types on that.

I don't remember if you all remember me but I posted two weeks ago about my mom's cat, Gracie. Gracie developed panacreatitis in the past month and was not responding to treatment. She was at the point where she was not eating or drinking and was so thin. My mom decided that she needed to take Gracie to the vet. Gracie crossed the Rainbow Bridge around 11am this morning. Anyway, if you all could pass along some good thoughts, it would mean a lot to her.

Here is a picture of Gracie from a few years ago.

Thanks,
Terri

Strong acids will etch glass....a Q-tip dipped in a rust remover makes a great windshield pencil, if you get my drift...

I think all of you should reconsider pissing off a guy who has a short fuse and takes out his anger on animals.
And since when is vandalism an acceptable response to anything? How about trying to have a conversation with the guy about it?

Zizzowop, Hiro-ACiD, i upped my meds-up yours, tigerose, Mrs CDK, laulaja, John Buck 41, and lilyspad:

Thanks for the kind words, they mean a lot. It's been an odd week, especially since these days I'm no longer living at home, and I was only able to get to see the cats once in a while. It's nice to get some Caturday support.

Zizzowop: My brother lost his awesome German Shepard this week. Meena was a cool dog. She got along well with his cats and their new daughter, but still barked like a K-9 unit anytime a stranger was within 10 feet of his house. She was only 7, got a tumor in her pancreas. She made it through the surgery, but only lasted another month. She will be missed.

[farm9.staticflickr.com image 375x500]

She reminds me a little of Teddy, a German Shepherd I had growing up. She was a very sweet dog, although she could look intimidating. I remember taking her for walks and seeing people ahead of me crossing the street to avoid us. She also had a spot behind our fence where she could camouflage in the mulch and bark at the electric meter guy. She loved playing fetch with pieces of firewood, as opposed to sticks. If you threw a stick for her she would retrieve it and promptly bite it in half, then got a large log and bring it back to you. I don't have a digital photo handy, but maybe I'll find one in future weeks.

Teddy had grown up with the cats, and was very good around them. She lived to be about 8, and we actually got Zeus a couple years before she died. When he was still young she'd come up and try to sniff him, and he'd arch his back in the stereotypical Halloween cat fashion (the only time I've seen a cat do that). He got used to her though, and when she started having problems walking (pinched nerve) he'd often lay next to her outside.

No harm in discussing possible ways to create mayhem on the guy.. and not do it...
