FTA: How else to explain Obama's Mideast policies, which loose countless Tolkien-like Islamic Orcs on that region and on the world? Al Qada, the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas, Boko Haram, Hezbollah, the Taliban - all the Islamic jihad groups - they are real-world counterparts of Tolkien's subhuman, flesh-eating brutes, eager to slaughter the good because they are the good. They are slobbering, drooling beasts that are but gross, unsightly clones of Barack Obama's true soul or character, ready to kill for the sake of killing, ready to rip men and women apart and roast their limbs over fires of kindled with the remnants of freedom of speech and the right to property and gun ownership.

I never thought I'd say, "that's a pretty offensive description of radical Islamist jihad groups." But here we are.

I didn't RTFA, but from that quote, it's not exactly fair to lump the Muslim Brotherhood in with Boko Haram. The Muslim Brotherhood has officially renounced violence and is trying to position itself as a moderate voice for religious Muslims. The Boko Haram will sentence you to lashes if you say that the Earth is round because that's not in the Koran.

Here we go for the eight hundred and sixty-three-billionth time with the "Obama is both an absolute and total nonentity who doesn't really exist AND a superduperpowered mutant mega-ultrademon from Hell" thing.

It prefers fairy tales and illusions. It prefers pretty Technicolor pictures of a City on the Hill,

OK, now I need to make a Ronald Reagan version of this:

If Obama is the leader of the Orcs, he can only be stopped by gold carrying creatures who pride themselves on knowing nothing of the world around them?

I'll allow the metaphor on technical accuracy.

Note to Right-wing pundits, no matter how many times you say people have no reason to like Obama people are still going to like him.

Same reason you can't just keep calling Romney "human" and suddenly make it true.

2013-01-24 01:37:59 PM
I know dehumanizing people you disagree with is a critical part of being a colossal douchebag, and being able to justify horrific inhuman actions done upon those people...

But this is just retarded.

The dish-rattling rumble you hear are the hordes of Orcs coming for you and your life. They are advancing from several directions: from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, from Capitol Hill, from the Justice Department, from the Supreme Court, and from their auxiliaries, the EPA, and the AFT, the TSA, and the DEA, the HHS, and other phalanxes of statism.

He sounds like a rational, reasonable fellow.

I'd say that varies both with the topic and the intended effect.  Politics is probably a bad topic.

Ya no shiat. I like the guy because he seems down to Earth and willing to laugh at himself, I don't agree with all of his stances as a President. There were times when I liked Bush too.

I never ever thought that I'd be offended at a portrayal of Islamic radicals, but for the love god, they're NOT subhuman cannibal monsters. They're assholes and murderers, but for pete's sake, the author layers on the hyperbole so thick that you can't help but roll your eyes and go 'really?'

Seriously, is Fark going to start greenlighting Stormfront pages? I know that's been asked facetiously in the past, but this is about as close as I've ever seen.

He is the secular version of Christ. With a modicum of showmanship, with much assistance from an adoring MSM, he performs "miracles," and turns loaves into fishes, and fishes back into loaves, and water into wine, and wine into Jim Jones's brand of Kool-Aid, and pig pen muck into French pastries. It's all as bogus as a TV reality show, as Greenfield notes.

This makes it sound like he thinks the actual Jesus Christ was nothing but a charismatic showman with ignorant followers. Seems like an odd way for a Conservative to trash Obama.

I think in this metaphor Gollum is played by jewelry aficionado Newt Gingrich. If I recall correctly, he goes into the fire at the end, along with the ring of power.

Good.

So, the premise of this article is that Obama is the Dark Lord? Ok, we get it, he's Black, and your unhinged hate rests mostly on that one fact, coloring your perception of everything he says or does, to the point where good morning is merely a sinister ploy to worship the sun god, or something.

Which one of you did this? 'Fess up!

From the Comments: A compelling analysis. And it strikes me that, in last year's elections, what we had in Romney and Ryan was no other than the pair of Hobbitses, Frodo and Sam, a plucky and brave duo willing to put their lives on the line to save the world. And they battled across the landscape with their companions, Sarah Palin (Galadriel), Boromir (Sean Hannity), Aragorn (Bill O'Reilly) Gimli (Steve Doocy), and Gandalf (Ronald Reagan, reincarnated as the White Wizard after his death battling the great Balrog represented by Communism). But the campaign was no mere re-telling, no! It was a warning, a dire look at an alternate universe to Tolkien's alternate universe, a double-alternate universe, in fact, which is usually the worst kind. Well, not as bad a three-times alternate universe, those tend to be really dominated by homosexuals (elves), but you get my point. But in this alternate-alternate universe, the companions do NOT reach Mordor (the White House). No, wait, Mordor isn't the White House, that doesn't make any sense. Well, let's just say it is, this getting kind of long as it is. So, Romney/Frodo and Ryan/Sam are about to enter Mordor, but Sauron (Obama) has managed to raise an army of undead automatons (immigrants and gay people and liberals) that at the last minute rushes out and kills them, and takes the One True Ring (the presidency) to forever pervert our way of life! It makes me sad.

Counterproductive, if you ask me. If they were in fact "slobbering, drooling beasts", no one would support them. It's because they appear to be conscientious and honorable members of their own communities that they have the support they need to carry out massive attacks against us.
