I know I saw the c-beams glitter last week when I was at Tannhauser Gate, but it was kinda dark.

I saw those moments too. But then I lost them, like tears, in rain.

eighty years, if we are strong;
yet all they bring us is trouble and sorrow;
life is soon over, and we are gone.

Well, except that Turtles, Parrots and humans live longer than Horses, Cows, Bison; for just a few examples.

So this isn't exactly true.

And small dog breeds live longer, in general, than large dog breeds. There are a lot of exceptions to his hypothesis.

They did. They lived until the Great Flood about 5000 years ago.

Also cats can often live 20 years or more while large breeds of dogs usually don't make it past 10 years of age.

What I heard is a better correlation is the frequency of reproduction. Animals that reproduce quickly tend to have evolved to have shorter lifespans than ones that reproduce at slower paces.

I thought it was the other way around... animals that have shorter lifespans evolved to reproduce quickly.

You see, it's kind of become a meme on fark to use the "R.I.P." thing and a picture involving someone unrelated, and even to twist up the name, to be sorta similar to the picture and... ah fuggedaboudit.

So... a bunch of time lapse images of plants drying up and set on a loop is somehow proof that all life has a "pulse"?

Really?

Yeah, I'm pretty skeptical about this "finding". It seems like less of a law and more of a "well, it works out like that a lot of times".

Call me a quibbler, too. Yes nothing is ever 100% in biology, but when you posit a theory and an impartial observer can think of literally dozens of exceptions, your response is to claim "minor details"? Sheesh.

Are you some kind of life extension nutter? We only live a few decades, that's it. But the species will last as long as the universe, did you know that? It's a fact.
