I would estimate it to be a little closer to a fifth.

Nothing wrong with some self medication if you don't have to drive anywhere.

Well duh, 1/2 of the 2/3 that drink are drinking double to make up for the 1/3 that doesn't drink. See, in life, everyone gets an equal share of the booze. If 1/3 refuse their allotment, then it becomes available for those who want more. That means 2/3 of the population get to split 1/3 of the booze amongst themselves. But only 1/3 (1/2 of 2/3) of the drinking population wants more, so no allocation becomes necessary. Karma just makes it all work out beautifully. It is like double-stuff Oreos. (Not the new kind, the old kind with the really good filling.) In a regular Oreo the filling to cookie ratio is 1:2. In a double-stuff Oreo the ratio is 1:1. So if you extend the analogy, instead of having a package of regular Oreos that 1/3 have no filling, 1/3 have regular filling, and 1/3 have double-stuff, you have a package of double stuff with 1/3 having regular filling, 1/3 having double stuff, and 1/3 having double plus 1/3 stuff.

If you managed to follow that and it makes sense to you (it really shouldn't), you may have a drinking problem. It is 7am for crying out loud.

I've had to replace drinking with insomnia because I'd piss my bed after drinking enough alcohol to feel buzzed.
