Perhaps Medvedev could kill Putin and solve this ongoing problem permanently.

You mean Putinism, aka fascism feasting on the corpse of communism.

Capialism doesn't create a Vladmir Putin or a a Russian oligarchy. It took decades of communo-fascism and centuries of serfdom to do that.

Roman Abramovich is doing great things firing football managers. Apparently that's a growth industry.

Maybe a Mexican standoff with Medvedev, Putin and Yeltsin's corpse?

We've replaced Dmitry's usual vodka with vodka infused with polonium. Let's see if he notices.

I think Yeltsin's corpse has the advantage in that scenario. It would be giving off so much residual vodka fumes that if either of the other two fired, the explosion would kill everyone.

Of course. A marionette's actions are always subject to the whims of the puppet master.

So why doesn't Dmitry just put the Virgin of Vladimir icon in his car and drive around Putin's house a few times? Sure got the Tatar scum the fark away from Moscow...twice.

attractive and successful Caucasian-American please.

Russia's problems are entirely cultural, which is perhaps even worse. There is a strange component to the Russian social fabric that makes it deferential to tyrannical personality types.

For fark's sake, a recent poll was taken in Russia that shows that many of the people there view Stalin in a positive light:

Russia's elections are no different than ours, except we at least TRY to hide the nepotism.

Just come out of lurking or do you just never say anything worth noting? Trying to figure out why you seem to know so much about me but I haven't the foggiest idea about you.

That said, you're trying to hard. Showing your hand far too early. In fact, if I were of the sort who'd report trolling, I'd do so. So, unless you're ever going to say anything that's interesting, just put me on ignore, ok?

What is happening in Russia is not capitalism. It's cronyism.

To be fair that was happening in Russia pretty much all of the 20th century, whether under a psuedo-capitalist sheen or pseudo-communist sheen.

I would hope that Jeb wouldn't stand a chance in that face-off
The real election will be the Dem primaries between Biden and Hillary.

It's not really figurehead (as say, President of Germany is). PM of Russia is still head of government and not -supposed- to be deferential to the President (not President the position anyway.. Putin is really kind of a special case here).

Biden and Hillary (if either of them even decides to run, neither are spring chickens) would not primary each other. If one runs the other simply won't.

You been there lately? The place is thriving.

The military did alright in Georgia, and they're getting back their former sphere of influence (i.e. in Ukraine, and the whole Eurasion Union business).
