Farrelly disagrees. "Kids, teenagers, 50-somethings who still smoke pot - they're all going to find something here," he says.

How dare he soil the good name of pot smokers. Even we have standards.

I was interested in this movie, but the fact that pretty much none of the stars are promoting or even talking about it has me thinking otherwise.

Of course they don't.....It looks appalling.

Fart jokes.

Halle Berry is putting her tits in guacamole?

And Stephen Merchant is in the movie?

How can I NOT go see this?

I suspect this is one of those movies that is completely revealed in the trailer. Kind of like a funny Onion headline that stands on its own, and reading the story is just a disappointment.

I find the more stars in a movie, the crappier it is. Anyone else experience this?

A Mad Mad Mad World it is not.

I don't care; I'll see it just to find out how bad it is.

Of course, my dumbass girlfriend won't want to go, but I'm tired of missing out on things just because she's a biatch. I'll go alone, like every man is supposed to. She can get hit by a bus, for all I care.

Snuck in as a kid, thought it was the greatest movie EVER.

"So why is "Movie 43" getting dumped - quickly and quietly - in theaters this Friday?"

I see ads for this thing all night long.

It sounds like they're not talking about it as a way of advertising the movie. OOH! So meta!

That post is probably funnier than this movie.

I felt like I was watching the trailer to five different movies when I saw the trailer for the first time. All I got was leprechauns, basketball, and Emma Stone banging a hobo.

They have always these holiday movies: New Years Eve, Valentines Day, Groundhogs Day, etc..

I want an Arbor Day movie
"They set out to plant a tree, they ended up planting the seeds for so much more, this April see the romantic movie that will give you wood Arbor Day"

I said shut up and take my money months ago, and I will not take it back.

The trailer was one of the worst I've seen, so I'm not surprised.

2013-01-23 03:10:15 PM
I can't understand what it's about or why I should want to see it even though it's been advertised for about a month.

From what I can tell, Terrence Howard does this "black guys play ball like this, white guys play ball like this" routine, which means that it treats its viewers with more intelligence than "Crash".

I get the feeling it's going to be a mashup type movie, kind of like The Kentucky Fried Movie. Which, if it's half as a awesome as that, may be worth seeing.

According to TFA, that is exactly what it is.

If the movie has someone shiatting on Elizabeth Banks' chest, I'm in. That sounds great.

2013-01-23 03:17:33 PM
I'll admit that parts of the trailer made me laugh, particularly the parents home-schooling their son who wish to give him the complete school experience, particularly being bullied. But I have a feeling that after about 30 minutes, I'll be all "I get it, I get it. It's all so Politically Incorrect. OMG, I can not believe that they Went There."

"Justin is one of the funniest people on earth."
-John Hodgman on Justin Long.

I'm saving this for the next Mac/PC Flame thread where someone goes on about how awesome Hodgman is, and how horrible Long is.

There is a theater near me that has $3.50 matinees. I can afford to waste that much on my curiosity.

For everyone biatching about the trailer - Netflix, rent, stream, find Kentucky Fried Movie. It's an homage to that.

And yes, I saw KFM as a kid. My parents weren't nearly as uptight as I am now (no, my kids won't be watching this), and thought it was hilarious!

2013-01-23 03:26:51 PM
I'll wait for the uncut DVD. I love raunchy humor, the wife does not, and the kids are too young.

Wait. You mean to tell me one half of the pair that appeared in a series of ads that made them exposed them to a wider audience isn't shiatting all over his golden ticket? YOU DON'T SAY!

/personally, I find the Mitchell & Webb Apple ads more entertaining

My first hint that this movie probably isn't very good is that they're advertising it on porn sites.

First time I've ever seen anything other than Ashley Madison or sex aids advertised on adult websites.

FTFA: Initially, Trey Parker and Matt Stone - creators of "South Park" and "The Book of Mormon" - were involved, but they dropped out.

Says everything I need to know. I may one day watch this just to see how far down a movie has to dig to be below their standards.
