He sits on his ass
She works her hands to the bone
To give him money every payday
But he wants more dinero just to stay at home
Well my friend
You gotta say:

"You won't smoke, You won't smoke ya, no way
Na-na Why don't you get a job"

2013-01-23 01:19:16 PM
Gas chamber. Next!

I wonder how much he's going to like getting farked in the ass to get one in jail?

Proof that children are dangerous. Their sense of morality does not develop until they are adults. Be careful around the farkers.

Should have just given him a cigarette.

Aww shucks boys will be boys....he didn't know what he was doing as he's just a kid.

He'll do a bit of time and be out before most finish college.

Sad and true

It's true. This kid is going to jail for the rest of his life.

2013-01-23 01:24:15 PM
Don't know who to root for. That was a b*tchy response and it suggested an impossible solution (child labor laws prevent 14 year olds from getting jobs). The kid's response to that was excessive. Understandable if he was jonesing, but still way out of line.

Teenagers scare the living shiat out of me. They could care less as long as someone will bleed.
Two points missed by the article. 14 YO's can neither smoke nor hold a job legally. My point? I don't know.

He really smoked that guy!

The general decline of printed newspapers, for one.

I think it was the great philosopher Sting who said, "And they would kill me for a cigarette, But I don't even wanna die just yet".

2013-01-23 01:31:28 PM
And what's most disturbing about this is that it is such a commonplace story and so low on the scale of violence and mayhem that we consume each and every day, that it'll only get about 50 comments or so here on Fark. Most will just go "meh" and move on to something worse or more controversial...sad

So to you murdering someone is an understandable, if excessive, response to be denied your nic fix? Wtf is wrong with you?

This. When asked about when I wanted to have kids I asked if there was a service that a child can be handed over to someone who actually likes children and has the fortitude to handle teenagers until they hit the age of 21. If there's such a service and I can pay through my flex-plan, I wouldn't mind having kids at any time.

He had a gun -- he should have gone for the armed robbery instead and scored a whole shiat-ton of smokes. 2nd Degree Murder for a single cigarette? Not nearly as good value.

Hang him. Pretty simply technology. Get a rope, tie it to a lamp post. Stand him on ladder. Tie rope around his neck. Remove ladder. Remove body the next day. Give to family of the youth and charge them for the rope and services required to hang their child. Perhaps the next youth with and attitude will rethink their course of action.

You mean, just like how all of the murderers think about the electric chair before they kill someone?

I could not agree with you more. I've always wanted to make a website called "Shooteminthehead.com" and populate it with stories like this.
As one farker pointed out, though, I would probably be arrested for making terrorist threats or something.

Naw that's too good for him. I say you let the girl's boyfriend and babby daddy get a few hours with him, THEN send him to PITA prison for a quick week long stint of being everyone's biatch, THEN hang 'em, and charge the family for the time and expense of all of that. At overtime rates for those involved in carrying it out. Plus mileage. Plus per diem.

You can legally work at age 14. Work hours are limited for those under sixteen, which is why a lot of companies require you to be 16 or older. I worked at McDonald's when I was 15 (1984).

You can work a variety of jobs under age 14 that are not covered under the fair labor standards act (babysitting, lawn mowing, paper routes)

this is why a 13 or 14 year old kid is farking infinitely more frightening than a 30 year old hardened criminal. to make it to 30, you have to have at least a baseline awareness of consequences. but, to a 13 or 14 year old, they think that killing someone is a good thing in of itself. there was a story where some teens killed a man because they were leaning against his car and he asked them politely to move so he could drive away.

I didn't put any words in your mouth. You said his actions, while way out of line, were understandable due to his fiending for a smoke. I disagree. Anyways, he didn't shoot that chick because his judgment was impaired due to severe nicotine withdrawl, he shot her because she dissed him and he's an adolescent gang banger.

And why would the children get the idea that killing someone is a good thing? (Besides shiatty parents?)

This is a good example of what a true honor killing should be for. "Son, you have disgraced our family. Goodbye."
If he could have done it before it got that far, he would have saved society... this.

Understandable /= acceptable. Look elsewhere for a villain to defeat. At no point did I condone the kid's actions. You just wish I did.
