In fairness, 3D women do often cause headaches after prolonged exposure.

I've seen Japanese porn. The women sound like someone feeding gophers to a woodchipper while full of helium.

And the bushes.

If take the fake over that too. I think Japan is the only country flat out more sexually weird than America.

What kind of females do you "like" in the sense of being entertained by in media, or specifically in the sense of sexualization? Because if the former than these results aren't really creepy at all, a bunch of this specific population just likes cartoons.

Either way, they missed 0D figures, written novels are still a thing, y'know. Even in Japan.

Subby,

Why do you think that Japan is a verb? Maybe you think there is more than one Japan?

32 percent of otaku preferred anime women to real ones. That's not even remotely the same as saying 32 percent of Japanese men.

And, no, "otaku" does NOT mean "geek" in Japanese in the same way we use "geek" in English. It means something more along the lines of "batshiat insane, autistic child-man who is afraid of the outside and shuns human contact".

The works of 2D-apologists lead me to believe that many of them were already quite creepy before getting into the 2D scene, and experiences many rejections "in 3D." The resentment in their arguments against 3D is almost palpable: it gets all too easy to imagine the wild eyes and sweaty palms that went into writing it. But instead of getting the message and getting their act together, they retreat into themselves, then start to act out fantasies where most of the arguments in its defense reduce to "they can't say no."

Way to turn the creepy up to 11, folks.

I'd say that they did correspond once, but then the term "geek" lost almost all of its pejorative meaning, while the term "otaku" did not (in its native tongue, anyway).

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the self-proclaimed "Otaku" over here in the west have no understanding of the term. For some reason they think they're an otaku just because they've watched a few anime, when the term doesn't apply to just that medium. Otaku can be used towards just about any kind of hobby or interest really. The creepy guy who lives with his mom at 40 and turned his basement into one gigantic model train railroad would be considered an otaku by the standard definition of the term across the pond in Japan.

Over a four day period last fall, a Japanese tech firm used a free Senki Zessho Symphogear iOS app to poll male anime fans

Yeah, your sample group might be a TINY BIT BIASED. That's like asking people at a Star Trek premiere their thoughts on Star Wars. Seriously though, that show was so terrible, and then the staff stopped caring, put their pants on their head, ran around the studio, and went decided just how ridiculous they could go.

There's a lot of overlap, but they aren't quite the same thing. You're right that the hikikomori are the ones who actually shut themselves away from the outside world: most otaku are not, in fact, that far gone. That said, while there are certainly many hikikomori who are also otaku, not all of them are.

As long as we're tossing terminology out there, there is also NEET: "not in education, employment, or training," which obviously has a lot of overlap too but isn't 1:1.

Most that I've seen looks a bit too clinical, like there will be a reporter with a microphone who then probes the woman with his fingers like he is inspecting livestock, followed by the use of one of those big knob personal massagers, then perhaps a stunt cock gets into the action. All the while whimpering, lots of whimpering.

Well this explains the population decline in Japan.

2013-01-23 08:32:18 PM
The percentage of males and females in the world is heavily skewed female, and it's only skewing further toward females over time.

That means every guy in the world should be able to get a girl. "So ronery" should be something that happens to women not men.

How the hell do these guys exist?

2013-01-23 09:41:01 PM
Why? Because anime girls don't get fat and surly.

Hitomi is already past her "prime" in Japan and now has been reduced to doing stupid big tit videos for American porn companies like Scoreland.

She must have done something really unforgivable during her JAV career to earn such banishment, like she actually cracked a smile while getting laid or something.

xant: The percentage of males and females in the world is heavily skewed female, and it's only skewing further toward females over time.

Where are you getting this? Statistically, the skew at birth is actually slightly toward males: not by more than a percentage point or so, but enough to be noticeable. Over time that skew evens out, since women live longer.

How the hell do these guys exist?

By being creepy, which is their own fault more often than not. Of course, they don't see it that way, but this only serves to lock them in, which, so to speak, locks them out.
